As for the fight being stopped? It should of been. But the blame falls 100% on the corner. Not the ref. The corner is suppose to know what their fighter can take and come back from. The ref has no business knowing fighters on an individual basis.

Apparently ICU was only precautionary and his CT came back normal. No brain hemorrhage or anything, he's be in the hospital but just for a torn bicep.

They have a life out there and families to go back home to, that's why I have never blamed someone like Ortiz for refusing to fight on against Maidana. I agree 100%. Unfortunately, most fighters who do that seem to be stigmatized for the rest of their careers as a result.
