Any way these guys chose to do it they love the sport there in and get paid to get in shape and fight!?!? Thats why you don't hear them complaining about how brutal the sport is so what's the point in us doing it?

Pointless post really unless your going to elaborate? It's true boxing is one dimension in fighting, to say boxing is fighting would be total BS its just punching.

Yeah but i don't think anybody in here gives a shit whether or not Boxing replicates fighting. Maybe that's the difference between the average Boxing fan and the average MMA fan.

And fencing isn't really sword fighting. This is a very silly point that is being argued here.

MMA fighters have shoddy boxing skills compared to world boxers.

World boxers have shoddy MMA skills compared to world class MMA fighters.

Neither is more difficult shoddy technique in one aspect can be reversed the other way around, its a dumb argument imo.

mattboxingfan, each time Dan Hardy throws the left hook he drops his right. This is poor boxing technique and because of that poor boxing technique he lost.

Look at when Rampage KO'd Liddell, it was because Chuck dropped his guard.

The issue with the MMA guys trying to box is that they either push or wing their their punches or they try to act like Roy Jones Jr. and fight with their guard down and I'll bet you they have no freaking clue why certain boxers fight like that and even if they did they don't have knowledge to carry out a fight like that without getting bombed out by someone who is a little more technically sound.

There are some MMA fighters that could have been decent boxers had they been trained in just boxing from the get go but if you took ANYONE in MMA I could pick a non-champion boxer that would whip their ass in a boxing ring.

Mate what the fuck you on about boxing is boxing it is not called fighting is it?

Boxing is a sport that is not just one dimension of fighting all this UFC Bullshit about " boxing is just one dimension blah blah blah " Boxing is a sport and an art form I don't watch boxing because you see blood and guts like most of the retards you see at the ufc cards in the uk, who come to see some guy get pummeled in the head with elbows and theywan't to see blood and guts.
