I used to give him the benefit of the doubt after the whole hand wrap fiasco since I really admired him back then and was rooting for him in his fights before Mosley. And I even felt genuinely sad for him when he lost to Williams. I always thought he epitomized the Mexican warrior who's heart always carries him through a fight no matter how much odds were stacked against him, win or lose. Sad that now I'm seeing who he truly is. Must be the beer talking but I've lost all respect for the Tijuana Tornado after his latest antics.

I'm pretty sure when Jack Johnson was HW champ it was used often, especially when the great white hope was being propped up.

Ali called Frazier a gorilla, uncle Tom, a white man's champ, etc. Tyson talked about stomping on little kid's balls during the buildup against Lewis and during his little tirade against some journalist was going crazy about "faggot white boy" and all that. Mayorga talked about killing Spinks in the ring so he can joined his dead mother. Shit talking has always been part of the fight game.

Exactly. I am not defending Margarito, but this is boxing and the above fighters have done just as outrageous things as Margarito has just done and they still have their fair share of admirers. He has acted like a tit, just as a lot of fighters do as well. I think it was that P4P ducker who stayed up until 5am to make a bunch of racial slurs just a few weeks back. Boxers are not always the most politically correct of types. Neither am I all the time either. All of us says or does something that crosses the line sometimes. I have impersonated a spastic more than once in my life, though not on camera and certainly not in front of an actual spastic. It's a pretty good impression actually, but not something I have done in about a decade.

All Margarito did there was do a bit of a shakey stutter, pretty harmless. If anyone crossed the line it was Garcia. The whole playing on the handwraps thing does go too far as Margarito has done his time for it. It is the Margarito team that should be trying to move away from that if anything. A harmless impression is fair game for a juvenile mind and a bit of time on his hands, but talking about handwraps and threats of actual violence using them, not such a gag. A mixed bag for me really. Rios comes across as a bit mindless and you sense that he is the kind of guy that needs boxing. Take that away and you likely have a seriously loose cannon.

Margarito is not "shit talking" though he's just showing what an utter lowlife he is.

True, but the greater percentage of fighters and corners dont go there its minority, we are trying to hold up boxing as a respectable sport to the masses. Thats why this stuff rubs against the grain of the majority of people both in and out of the sport.

WSHH dot com won't get scrubbed of the video. As much as I don't like Pac for many reasons this is to much. The same people saying this video is just trash talk are the same saying the bricks in the hand wrap joke was just a joke... So how would people feel if Pac and Roach went in on Mexicans? As in Racial jokes? I mean that's the same as making fun of a man who will die of a disease someday. And the whole brick in the wrap jokes and playing with the cement block are just a kick in the face to boxing.
