Hes only 28. He still has a couple more years at his prime.
Based on what I seen so far from him as a pro it's obvious he no longer in his prime
Because he has been hit once or twice on the chin cleanly in 6 fights? He has absolutely toyed with the guys he has faced in the ring. I've heard contradicting statements that he doesn't drink, but that he used to smoke and drink in cuba, but like Monzon that might not affect him. Regardless with his level of technique and quickness he might not to be at his absolutely fastest to be one of the best in the world, I honestly think if he had gone pro like other guys we wouldn't be talking about Pacquiao as the arguably greatest southpaw of alltime.
But he didn't did he? He had a chance to defect when Casamayor defected. And he didn't take it. That's on him. Rig is still a fine fighter. But compare him to 5 years ago and it's pretty obvious he's not as fast or as fluid. Reason why is cuz he's no longer in his prime.

How would have he defected when Casamayor did? That was 14 years ago, he wasn't even fighting internationally yet. In fact he would have only been boxing for 2 years by then because he started at 14. Also I don't think his speed or fluidity has dissipated as much as he's evolved his style for the pros. Also the fact that he didn't fight for so long, and that he hasn't had anyone in there to really test him yet.

Taeth who currently holds this record?
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Rig showed everybody the huge difference between the pros and amateurs. I doubt we'll ever see him show up on any p4p lists

+1 I was getting convinced at Guille would outclass Gamboa.
Now if Cordoba can land a jab while Ringo is out of balance and didn't see coming why can't Yuri?
And Cordoba was not even throwing good jabs all night.

Being dropped by a jab that put him on basically defense for the rest of the night has me thinking no.
