I don't think there is anything special about the catch weight contract that affects minimum weight. I think the minimum weight is only applied to the minimum weight class and not for each division. I believe for the weigh in, there is no minimum weight.

Yes it was. although not technically a catch weight, Dela Hoya came down from 154 to 147. While Pacquiao went up from 135 to 147.

So both Main Event heavy betting favorites come in incredibly light.

We'll see how this shakes out, but the storyline is already written and a Margarito or Harrison win would still be a huge upset.
