The finish was a little bit too early for my liking.

Rios looked decent, but quite leaky defensively. You can tell it was a last minute addition.

A little bit too early for me, but they know their man better.

This is boxing, so at least give the audience something to see. I am not arguing for him to be pummelled into a coma. Just let the man hit the canvas. He wasn't exactly out on his feet there. They should have let Harrison go down again too.

I have never claimed to be a hard man, nor a boxer. I'm just a fan who likes to see a fight.

I disagree. If a fighter is hurt or in serious danger at any point whether standing up, on the canvas or on the ropes, it's time to stop the fight. This sport is brutal, but it is still a sport and not a death match. The health of the fighters come first and foremost, not the lust for blood and brutality as the spectators demand.

    Round 5

Rigondeaux working hard to start the round landing vicious shots. Cordoba looks shaken. Cordoba trying to keep him off with the jab. they trade jabs. slight exchange good counter upper from Rigondeaux finishes the trade. Right hook counter lands for Rigondeaux. Cordoba keeping the guard tight to the body, pitter pat jabs. Rigondeaux completely clinical now.

    50-44 Rigondeaux.

There are some great comments out there. This one is particularly good:

"These idiot boxers aren't doing their research. They are fighting pacman and head hunting. Look at the history of the phillipines, in world war 2, there was inbreeding, and Pacman is a victim. His head is abnormal."

So there we have it. Go to the body Margarito!

    Round 6

Cordoba tries to dig his way back in right away, Rigondeaux counters, steady pressure from Cordoba now, Rigondeaux smothering. Left upper counter from rigondeaux, much better round from both fighters. Cordoba gets the better of an exchange and Rigondeaux's knees hit the canvas, first knockdown of his career. Rigondeaux away working the outside now. Cordoba stalking now, Cordoba lands a strong jab. Cordoba outlanding and outworking Rigondeaux in that round

    10-8 Cordoba

    58-54 Rigondeaux

No, I am not bloodthirsty and if his corner wanted to stop it then that's their choice and theirs alone to make. I just didn't think he was all that badly hurt. Took a couple of hard shots and then the towel was thrown. I was only half joking when talking about Harrison though. He was beyond awful and deserved another KD.
