I'm super excited. We're in for a treat. How often do top ten p4p fighters fight eachother? So many talked about fights don't happen. This should be good.

Sheep - you made your prediction?

I got a felling for Williams, who I think will adapt better this time and win a clear decision, but wouldn't be shocked if I was wrong.

A little more hype, pre-fight interviews

Yea, I go back and forth on this one. Williams didn't look great against Cintron and I thought Martinez won their first fight. However, Williams looks better in rematches. I'm leaning toward Martinez.

Is this fight at a catchweight of 155? Is it because Williams demanded it?

    Sergio speaking on the catchweight:

    Boxing - Q&A: Sergio Martinez

What kind of statement are you looking to make in your second fight with Paul Williams?
I’m going in there to show the world that I’m the better fighter, with all the excuses he made in not wanting to make the fight happen and one of them being that the fight had to happen at 158 pounds or the fight won’t happen at all and things like that. The rules and the weight classes are in place for a reason and for him to want to fight outside of those rules just doesn’t make sense to me. That really surprised me about him, I thought that he was the type of fighter that would fight no matter what but that’s not the case, but it is what it is.

Very strange, maybe he heard that Martinez was big and had alot of weight to shift? Considering Williams was prepared to fight Pavlik at the weight and has also stated he could go to 168.

Interesting, understandable as well even if it is misguided, no way was Williams gonna get a fight with Pac or Mayweather, especially this year. Williams must have those hollow bird bones or something.

As Skel said though, it's a little odd that the "most feared fighter in the world" from 147 to 168 would want a catchweight for a middleweight title fight. Pacquiao may believe he is not quite big enough to fight at 154 so he fights at 150, but Williams is definitely big enough to fight at 160 - he has before against Winky, Sergio, and Kolle. One thing clear is that Williams wasn't comfortable with Sergio fighting at 160.
