I believe the catchweight is 158 as for the why I'm not sure
I put it in the other thread but Max Boxing - News - Williams vs. Martinez II: For the HBO Middle-Catchweight Championship of the World

    Williams demanded the catchweight.
Interesting, understandable as well even if it is misguided, no way was Williams gonna get a fight with Pac or Mayweather, especially this year. Williams must have those hollow bird bones or something.
As Skel said though, it's a little odd that the "most feared fighter in the world" from 147 to 168 would want a catchweight for a middleweight title fight. Pacquiao may believe he is not quite big enough to fight at 154 so he fights at 150, but Williams is definitely big enough to fight at 160 - he has before against Winky, Sergio, and Kolle. One thing clear is that Williams wasn't comfortable with Sergio fighting at 160.

Ok, Williams gives the guys a rematch, but no, people gotta find a way to bitch about 2 lbs. Havent seen Kermit Cintron rematch him. Martinez is just mad because he balloons up between fights? I dunno why he's bitching at least he got the rematch...

"Havent seen Kermit Cintron rematch him." rematch who, martinez Did you see that fight, cintron knows he got an assrapage comming if that fight was to happen again as. As for the catchweight it is kind of stupid since he has fought at the weight before now all of a sudden he can't... As for the fight I like both guys but hope martinez can etch it out he's only got this and maybe a couple more fights in him.

Just have that nagging feeling....Martinez via standing tko on the ropes with bloody nosed Paul waving in the wind 10,11 round.
