I dont think it will be the next fight, I think they want rid of Sauralends rights which end after the next fight, but Klits guy seemed a bit of a cock if you ask me, Booth for once I have to agree with if there is higher paying German channel they should make that deal especially if they want 50/50 of British PPV money.
You mean back when there was no WBA title on the line and it was an optional title defense vs a cruiserweight just turned heavyweight? Yeah, that is as funny as someone wanting 50/50, getting it, bitching about 2 options then signing a lower money fight that forced him into 3 options......HA......HA...........HA, I'm amused.

It wasn't a lower money fight, it has been reported the same/similar money for obviously a far less demanding fight.
Whatever the deal was back then, not even you can deny Haye/Booths decision to go a different route has turned out bad for them. They now have Team Klit begging for their HUGE PPV money instead of Haye on a couple of million and a three fight rematch deal![]()
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
Oh no doubt they've played themselves into a much better financial situation but the FACT is Wlad is the man of the division, he has the belts, he can draw 60K fans to watch him fight Eddie Chambers, and he isn't going (nor should he) take anything less than 50/50.
I mean face facts British PPV numbers will increase if he decides to fight Wladimir and the people buying the fight won't all be for the British fighter and some cheering for the British fighter will pay out because they want to see a big heavyweight unification bout and right now you can't have that without a Klitschko. So its not as if Wlad has no room to negotiate...you people act like the fans at his fights were forced to be there.

I'm suprised at myself but I pretty much agree with all of the above (except the bit in red).
The extra UK PPVs generated by Haye facing Wlad would be huge in compariosn to Haye vs Chagaev for instance.
And lets be real, although I give Haye a chance of beating Wlad, Wlad is THE MAN in the division right now - A WBA strap doesn't change that at all.
However, In regards to an earlier post of yours Lyle, Its pretty clear that from a financial point of view the deal Haye/Booth made will turn out better for them (Based on a fight vs a Klit happening at some point) then if they had gone straight into the fight - also them going the Valuev way will also turn out better financially better for one/both of the Klitschos too, Wlad would certianly be in line for his biggest pay day (I guess it wouldn't pay Vit as well as he got from facing Lewis).

I have only just watched this as I recorded it last night and I was happy to see some of the topics discussed on this site being mentioned, such as....
1# German (and worldwide) TV money - The Klits have some kind of contract with RTL and Haye has been involved with ARD (i think). Now it seems clear that ARD would be offering the bigger money of the 2 so I agree with Booth (if that is the case) they should go with whoever offers the most money in Germany and every other country for that matter. Lets face it even HBO would want to show a Haye-Klit fight so there would be money to be made in the U.S. from this fight. Then here in England I think you would be looking at well in advance of 1 million PPV sales. The Haye vs Wlad fight for me would probably make each man £10 million with a 50/50 split.
2# Sauerlands involvement - This is something I have not really given much thought about until tonight, but after listening to Boentes side of things he sounded as though he would like Haye to take on someone else first and get rid of the problem that is Sauerland. Obviously they are rivals in Germany but they are also on rival TV stations and Sauerland seem to be advising team Haye as far as which Network to go with. I liked Boentes suggestion of he and Booth going to the different stations in Germany (without Sauerland) and drumming up a deal that way.
Although it is not what the boxing world wants it may be worth Haye fighting Chagaev first and killing 2 birds with one stone, getting rid of Sauerland once and for all (denying them their big payday off Hayes back) and getting rid of his mandatory defence. And yes Haye destroys Chagaev for me, the guy had a tough, tough fight with Ruiz and after tonights debacle with bloody Travis Walker I have no doubt Haye gets him out fairly quick. Whatever Chagaev had before the Wlad fight is totaly gone now IMO. Haye though for me needs to stop discussing retirement, he is coming into the prime of his life as an HW and still has a good 4 years at the top left.
3# Public Negotiations - Now this was something I was very happy to hear Booth mention, for far too long now certain people have just taken what the Klits say as being the complete truth, with Hayes side of the story just being rubbished. Well if the Klits and co agree to do this then we will find out exactly what is going on for real. Boente didn't seem at all keen on this but I think it should happen just so we Know who is really to blame should the discussions fall apart again. I'm not trying to say it's the Klits fault for previous negotiations falling apart I am simply very much in favour of this idea from Booth. We all know Haye pulled out before claiming a bad back when really it was down to the imminent collapse of Setanta and then when Haye had all but signed to fight Vitali he decided to go for Valuev in what was obviously an easier route to a title and as a result handed him more bargaining power. But now in hindsight it has turned out better for all parties, there is a lot more money to be made as Haye has Sky on board now and has become something of a household name in the UK.
4# Faith in ABC's - Finally I was happy to hear Boente say that the mandatories would be something that they would be able to get around if need be and that the ABC's would let the unification fights take place before demanding any mandatory defences and I was even happier when Booth agreed that he was probably right and that it was just a hurdle they had to tackle. I do not have the same confidence in the governing bodies to be honest but I do not deal with them like the 2 men who were on Ringside last night.
All in all I think it was a very good idea of Skys to get them both on together at the same time although they did both look a bit shocked by it all. I wonder if they knew they were going to end up head to head on national TV? I doubt that very much! Now it's just time to wait until Wlad gets rid of Chisora and then hopefully it will be time to get the negotiations running properly on the 12th December like Booth said.
I actually think if all parties involved have 1 more meaningful fight (free of fight options) everything will be ok. And finally after that little bit on tv I can see some light at the end of the tunnel, just knowing Sauerland is involved says it all, pretty much absolves the WBA title holder for the fights he's had since the Valuev fight, I mean Ruiz was an "ok" fight he was still ranked although not dangerous, Harrison was what it was, and if he fights Chagaev....well I am just a smidge worried about that Ruslan is a hard nosed fighter, he's smart, and he's a southpaw, plus he can take a punch....HOWEVER should he dominate Chagaev or win a hard fought UD (without getting hurt) it builds the fight up a bit more.
Wlad will torch Chisora (show the Brits what he can do) and I think have a fight vs Adamek (on HBO more than likely) and then this megafight is all set up.
If I knew Sauerland had options, I would have understood the posturing a little more and wouldn't have made such a big deal out of it

						What were the options?
Im assuming Saurlands was simply a slice of the next three fights?
What were the Klits?
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
