Martinez can box and obviously PW can't, I doubt he'll have a hard time finding an opponent for his next fight. He needs to polish his game up.....a lot!

Hope he does. Its always baffled me how willingly he gives up natural gifts,range....falls over himself. If he fights like he did vs Margarito it'll suit him well..one of his better displays w/ complete tall package.

That's like saying the blueprints out on how to beat Duran because of what Hearns did, or how to beat Khan because Prescott did it.

And one shot one punch KO doesn't mean the blueprint on how to beat Williams is there. It was a perfectly timed great shot from a great fighter. The blueprint on how to beat Williams really won't be there until he consistently loses against it.

Dude's got two loses and we want to write him off... back in the day dudes would have 2 loses in a month and then go on to be champ next year. It was a one shot ko from a punch he never saw coming so it doesn't even mean his chin is necessarily dented he just needs to stop leaving it that exposed which really shouldn't be that hard of a task. As for completely changing his style that probably won't happen but just keep a closer guard. He didn't take a beating in this fight so just take an easy fight out next time and then get right back in the mix of things.

He's not changing his style and suddenly fighting his frame right now this late. He's too entrenched in what has gotten him to this level and high visability matches. Time for insurance policy and right style training has passed I believe.

For fans sake I hope he can keep swinging....but he tried to Quintana Martinez in the first round Sat and a bigger,sharper, calmer boxer exploited his gaps badly. It was not a fluke shot but more so culmination against top tier.

While i think Williams can still be a force...it will be interesting to see how he comes back from such a brutal knockout. When you get KOed like that, it can leave lingering effects not only physically but also mentally. He has the physical tools to be a much more effective boxer. He doesn't need to rely on high work rate. If he can utilize his length and jab better...he actually will be a more daunting fighter.

I gotta love Williams man. But I'm gonna go all out and say he'll be haunted by that KO for a long time. Especially after Kellerman had him watch the slow mo live on air. What did he expect Paul to say.

I hope he bounces back with a couple of easy wins, maybe the first win could be against Max Kellerman.

Anyone would be cagey in a comeback after a knockout like that.
