    Hey now. C'mon dude

I said it was a good stoppage. Read my first post of this thread.

I see both sides' point though. Kats wasn't punching when JMM busy rearranging his face. But if my memory serves me right, wasn't JML doing the same thing with Concepcion right before JML got knocked down?

bayless did the right thing in stopping the fight when he did. katsidis, bless his heart, was out on his feet. and his body language didn't look very good. if any of you will remember when jesus chavez KO's that guy johnson a few years ago. johnson was seriously hurt but because of his warrior mentality, he never quit. he died because the referee was too dumb to stop the fight.

You're a good die hard Pac fan, know the sport well overall. So not talking about you.

I disagree, Katsidis threw two punches in the last minute of the fight while taking pleny of punishment. Good stoppage.

Bro, Brandon Rios is a HUGE lightweight, at the Pac-Marg undercard he came in the ring weighing 157 lbs. at fight night. I think He is one of those guys that drain themselves to fit in a weightclass to have that physical advantage at fight night. Like Vic Ortiz, Brandon Rios I think should be fighting as welterweights as of the moment.
i just think Marquez counter's him all night

I just rewatched the fight and the stopagge should have come 5 seconds earlier if he was stopping it because it seemed like kats had weathered the storm and actually landed a punch on jmm right prior. However, still can't really say it's a bad stoppage because jmm was going to most likely finish the job sooner or later and I'd rather see a somewhat premature stoppage than a fighter hurt. Kats doesn't ever seem to go down when he's in real trouble, twice now he's been stopped on his feet, would have been smart to just take a knee perhaps and regain his bearings fully.

I haven't rewatched it yet, but i thought it was a good stoppage. Michael Katsidis got beat up for atleast 50 seconds without throwing back.

I thought good stoppage too. The outcome wouldn't have changed at all if it had gone on other than to remove the T off the KO.

Marquez had already got up from the best KAt had thrown at him ,that wasnt going to happen again at that stage; Jms chin was the same, Kat wasnt the same at that stage.

I can understand how some of you think Katsidis should have gotten a standing 8 before the stoppage but in truth Katsidis was just going to absorb more brutal combinations...His only chance was a money shot from no where...In truth more refs should take such initiative....Katsidis has nothing to be ashamed of and he fought like a true warrior.

    SEVERE EDIT----

Standing 8? Fucking idiot. The stoppage was fine. On point. Katsidis threw like what 2 punches that whole round? He was taking to many flush shots. At least 3 times his head snapped back violently. He was done. The fight in itself was one-sided. Except for 15 seconds in round 3 Marquez dominated the fight. Bayless is an outstanding referee. He made the right call. That fight goes any longer and Michael is hanging with his brother.

the reason why it was over for katsidis and he had no hope of even landing a haymaker in that last round was because marquez had taken his legs away by attacking his body so violently in the earlier rounds. not to mention his face was busted up by marquez' crisp combinations. you could tell by the 7th round or so, katsidis' punches had nothing on them because of marquez' body attack.

Kenny Bayless is still my favorite ref, he is just on top of the action.
He doesn't mind getting a little close, but knows when to back up.
He also doesn't mind giving "hard" warnings like he did against Shane in the 8th round against Mayweather.
