I don't blame Artur for not wanting to carry on. If he doesn't think he can win, and needs a confidence building easier fight next then you can't force a man to sacrifice his career to a tournament where we already have the top two fighters lined up to fight each other anyway.

Let Abraham go back to middleweight if he wishes.

If I was working for Showtime I'd make Froch vs Ward as the final in March/April.

On the undercard I would try and pursuade Andre Dirrell to come back and fight Glen Johnson.

That's the most logical way to end this thing imo. Dirrell/Johnson would be a fantastic matchup in its own right, and Dirrell was clearly the tournament number 3 guy having run Carl Froch very close and also completely outboxed Abraham.

We might then see a rematch with Froch or what I think would be a great fight with Andre Ward, should he despose of Glen Johnson.

Of course if Johnson if, at like 57 years old and 300 fights was to spring the suprise against Dirrell nobody would begrude this fight anybody real life Cinderella Man the opportunity to fight the winner of Froch Ward next summer.

The winner of that fight, takes on Bute, and then the winner of that moves up to fight Pascal.

It's a fantastic schedule, and one that makes perfect sense for everybody involved, including the fans.
