Well, I didn't put my own view in at the beginning so that I could see what others thought first.

    Pretty unanimous thread.

I have to say that I agree. Holyfield is at ATG at both cruiser and heavy. he fought everybody who was around, without exception ..... Qawi, Dokes, Bowe, Tyson, Lewis, Ruddock, Toney etc etc etc. Evander truly was the 'Real Deal' ..... rock solid chin, fantastic training and fitness (maybe illegal though), amazing stamina, good technique, iron will.

Holyfield had everything. I wouldnt have thought he's have been fazed by Haye's power, as he faced down iron Mike and others who are much bigger hitters that Haye. I think david needs room to throw his bombs, as never seems to be an inside fighter ..... Holyfield would swarm all over him, keep close andin range and drag poor david into the trenches in a way that his thus far limited opposition has never been able to do. Holyfield stoppage is most likely in the middle rounds ...... I'm afraid I cant see any way, in any eventuality that haye would be able to win. No dissrespect to haye here, this probably reflects the high esteem i hold Evander in as a fighter.

Haye's power would be seemed as a tickle considering in one of the rounds fighting Foreman he got hit flush, and just shook it off.

Prime Holyfield within 3 either at CW or HW.

I wouldn't like to state how one sided it would be as Haye has already proven how tasteless such comments can be... Nevertheless Evander would get the victory and as previous posters have said have an easy nights work getting it!

It depends, if Haye could box for the entire fight and not try to knock Holyfield out he has a chance, however Holyfield would always get to him and had a deadly left hook, Holyfield would take Haye's shots and probably wear him down late, if not stop him.

But, if we wanna talk about a Cruiserweight toss up fight. Michael Moorer vs David Haye would have been a barn burner! For as long as it lasted.

no way in hell Haye would beat Holyfield at HW, much less at Cruiserweight, he's not considered the greatest fighter in the division for no reason

Moorer at Lt hvy was just a savage. Too bad he jumped division...could have cleaned up Cruiser at time but had yet to be really tested. Think his handspeed and thud goes even with Cruiser Haye.....chin too

holyfield is the greatest crusierweight of all time and one of the greatest heavyeights of all time.......he's seen as one of the best conditioned fighters ever in his prime with great chin and courage......evander also had very good boxing skills.......haye would be toast in either weight class vs the REAL DEAL
