think soto took it comfortably and he looked remarkably better than his last 3-4 fights. tonight he showed he could box very effectively but you've also have to remember that antillon had the style to make soto look good.
Mil,
Soto is already very good bro the only fight I saw him struggle was agaisnt a RUNNER in Joan Guzman. Urbano Antillon's Tenacity was impressive too. Marquez vs Soto will be imteresting!

I want to see Soto against Miguel Acosta of Columbia im more interested of these match up.
a brandon rios/humberto soto would be a very entertaining fight for several reasons:
the humberto soto who boxed so effectively last night would easily out box rios in the early rounds because essentially, rios has the same come forward style like urbano antillon.
the difference between rios and antillon, however, is that rios hits much harder than antillon and really isn't susceptible to uppercuts the way antillon is. rios is also bigger and much stronger than antillon even though he's a little slower hand speed wise.
i see soto building up a solid early lead with great footwork, movement and a vast display of impressive skills but by the mid to late rounds, rios is going to definitely test soto's chin. whether or not soto can handle rios' bombs is unknown at this time. i do know that i believe rios is going to be able to handle soto's punches cause soto isn't going to want to make this a slugfest the way he did last night with antillon.
my prediction is that soto will eek out a very close decision. he'll build an early lead and hang on by a thread to rios' onslaught. soto by SD.
IMHO Marquez wrecks Soto, he looked good last night but he still didn't look like the same fighter he was in the lower weights, i think Rios would get outboxed early on but then would wear down Soto in around the 10th, but i think that there really isn't anyone who can take JMM's #1 spot at 135, including Rios
I think Soto - Rios is going to look a lot like Cotto - Margarito where the smaller fighter will outbox the bigger fighting, land some nice shots, but eventually be stopped. I don't think Soto can hurt Rios or keep him off of him, and I'm certain that Rios can hurt Soto.
