Which fighter do you credit the most?

Given the level of hate aimed at certain fighters, especially Manny, who garners zero respect from the armchair experts we are lucky to have here at Saddo's and on many other sites I was wondering which fighter is the one who we all truly respect?

Who is the fighter who is fighting the opponents we want him to, with no funny business, and who is the role model for phonies like Pac to follow?

I know it's controversial because the guy has mental issues, but Kermit Cintron fights anyone put in front of him. Certainly, he doesn't win those fights. But, you can't say he doesn't get in the ring. He's fought Paul Williams, Alfredo Angulo, Sergio Martinez, Antonio Margarito (2x) etc. Has he ever dodged anyone?

Fighting tough opponents is only really commendable when you are the star. Cintron was the challenger in pretty much all of those fights and therefore glad of the shot and the payday.

Had he been an undefeated world champ with a big following then it would have been a brave decision to fight Angulo and Martinez etc.

But he was primarily playing the role of opponent with everything to gain and nothing to lose. It's not the same as a top p4p fighter choosing to fight those guys.

Good Point. That's why he shouldn't be on the list.

Still, credit to him, he's been up against some scary opposition.
