Yeah, you're probably right - he does look settled in at 160. He's not that far removed from 154, though - enough so that 156 shouldn't be considered an attempt at draining him.
For a high dollar fight with Pacquiao, I bet he'd come in looking like an anorexic teenage girl if that's what it took.

Scary fight
I can't believe Maravilla was TKO'd by Margarito a long time ago.

A bridge too far!
I say this is crazy! Pac camp entertaining thoughts at fighting anywhere upwards of 150 lbs is crazy! Pacquiao has not even weighed that much after a night of rehydrating on fight night... he surely will be giving away 20+ pounds in size, and that is a lot. Expect for a night of pounding, it will be better for Pac to pray for an abbreviated outcome to save himself from an imminent carnage. This undertaking is a bridge too far, and a bite, much too much to chew indeed!
But wait! I respect Roach, minus the obvious mind games that he every now and again wields ever so often that we've gone accustomed to, he seems to be an up and up, reasonable man. He must have something rational up his sleeve that is spectacularly absent to a fella's common sense.
Martinez for one is not a back peddler, a point not lost as being as favorable as there ever is as an opponent for Pac. And as for his offense, Sergio seems to favor his right arm a lot more than what a two fisted pugilist would... He has an awkward albeit effective left (IMHO). Is he a converted righty? If he is, then that must be it... that is the ace up their sleeve.
**** **** **** ****
For all we know, these are all but fillers, keeping our interest heightened for mega fights until the coming of the next year when new and interesting stories will abound. It helps too in keeping boxing as a sport lively in our discussions over the holidays.

If Pacquiao were to fight Martinez he would be fighting the hardest fight of his career.
Martinez being a lefty would nullify Pac's southpaw advantage, he is physically larger than Margarito or ODLH and as evidenced in the Williams fight he is a live puncher.
What really makes a case for a Martinez victory is his approach to boxing. Sergio reminds me of JMM in his in ring attitude and I feel he could execute an effective gameplan even against Pac

I don't see how anyone could have issue with this choice in opponent. I very much doubt it happens, IMO Martinez is too big would win this one, but it wouldn't detract from Manny at all, if he were to lose it would just show that he's reached his limit in terms of going up in weight. I just want to see him in with a challenging opponent. Bradley, Berto, Martinez whoever, as long as they pose a legit threat and it isn't Cotto/Marg/Clottey rematches I won't have a problem

He's hardly a full fledged middleweight he fought at 153 and 3/4's in 2009 against Kermit Cintron. He should be able to fight at 154 again if he's as good as people say.
Hopkins, Mosley, Williams are all fighters around this weight who comfortably moved up and back down again between divisions.
It's kind of hilarious to me these days how thanks to Manny, losing a few pounds and remaining competitive is seen as an impossible dream to achieve in professional boxing.
now this is what i'm talking about. come on manny, take a risk once in a while! you're already arguably a top 15-20 all time great, it's time to fight dangerous opponents in their primes. if this fight were to happen, i would join the kool-aid club and if he won, i'd go as far as licking his forehead for a job well done!![]()

I think Pac can beat Martinez if he fight like againts DLH the entire fight. BUT it could be his last fight. The potential damage is too much that he might be forced to retire after this![]()
