Freddie Roach has warned boxing fans that a clash between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao may not happen, even if the former beats Juan Manuel Marquez in July.
The renowned trainer believes that Mayweather, returning to the ring having retired from the sport in December of 2007, will have enough about him to beat Marquez, but is also certain that a financial agreement for any possible bout between 'Pretty Boy' Mayweather and the Pacman would be difficult to reach.
“Both fighters have egos,” Roach insisted, speaking to The Sweet Science website.
“Mayweather wants a 60-40 split. He’s not going to get that with Manny. I know for sure Manny won’t accept anything like that.”
Pacquiao's stock has grown exponentially since his technical knockout over Oscar De la Hoya late last year, a bout the Filipino followed up by flooring Ricky Hatton in the second round of their clash earlier this month.
