Kids, presents, food, beer, food, beer, food, beer. Sleep.
Love Christmas!
Once your all grown up, Christmas is so much better when you've got kids. They make the whole thing loads more exciting.

Quite sad. It's probably gonna be my father in-law's last christmas (prostate cancer) so it's gonna be emotional.
The family is at mine this year and we have a nice brand spankin new big ol dinner table so i have dreams of having the ultimate feast of food and love and laughter.
It'll be difficult though.

Nothing special really. Christmas doesn't really mean anything out here, so it's just another saturday. I might just stick a chicken in the oven, cook up a roast and open a bottle of wine. I quite like the fact that christmas means so little as it means I don't need to indulge in all the gift buying or putting up of decorations. Looking at the west it has become something that people seem to think they must go through with and to be honest it's a lot of effort for not all that much. It was great that my mum would go to the effort when I was young, but it obviously caused her a lot of headaches as she had little money, but would always try to make it special for us. Looking back I question whether it was worth all the sacrifice. Getting into debt to give the kids what the adverts are telling them that they should be demanding for christmas? It's a giant con reallyand not fair on adults who are pressured into believing that this is what christmas is about. I can see the point in having a nice meal and inviting some family round, but beyond that think christmas is a big fix and it's not as though we are all good practicing christians these days anyway.
You should give your kids something when you can, you shouldn't be bullied into it just because it's christmas. So, yes, I quite like the fact that it's just another saturday.
