He just had a tune up, and won a belt he won't defend for it.

    Again. Says who?

Did you hear anything about Pacquiao refusal of defending it? Can you back it up with source?

I know Roach wants Martinez. Boxing - Roach wants Pacquiao-Martinez

For someone who follows Pacquiao and his goons so closely I'm surprised I'm telling you this.
Roach said ONLY 147 for Martinez and if he can't make it then no fight.
Arum even laughed at Roach for that.

Roach: Pacquiao vs Martinez, Only at 147-pounds

Arum: Pacquiao vs Martinez at 147-Pounds is Ridiculous

i think it's a complete travesty that pacquiao refuses to accept martinez' challenge to defend his jr. middleweight title. and before you pactards say pacquiao is too small for martinez, why then did he fight for the title in the first place? i mean, he is the champion right? that is why i think the WBC jr. middleweight title he won from margarito is totally bogus, especially if he's never going to defend it! to me, pacquiao has been obsessed with winning these trinkets to improve his stock in the all-time p4p list.

call me crazy but i think it is much more impressive to stay at a division, clean it out, then, move onto another division, clean that one out, instead of jumping from one division to another, weight draining your opponents, and then leaving that division without defending it a few times. that's the ultimate definition of someone who is picking and choosing his opponents very carefully.

Manny tried the Junior Middleweight Division (154 lb) at a catchweight and it seems that that is not the division for him. He fought for the title because the title is made available to him. Wouldn't you? If he again decides to fight at that division I wish if would not be at a catchweight.

Sergio Martinez does not belong in that division anymore. His last 3 fights had been under the Middleweight Division (160 lb).. Even if Martinez can still manage to weight in at 154 lbs, that still isn't his weight and he'll just rehydrate and have an enormous weight advantage over Manny come fight night. And this is the reason why Martinez is too big for Pacquiao.

147 is beyond stupid. And I'm sure the groupie knew about it. Just didn't fit his point. So he conveniently left it out

Actually you can say all of his fights above featherweights have been tune up fight, by the way he have won them. Floyd allowed this guy to grow comfortably into the welterweight division. Big mistake.

This is true, Floyd did allow him to grow comfortably in the WW it's his fault.
Honestly though, Pacquiao stock has only risen since his first fight against DLH and his star power is nearly unmatched.
IMO, Pac is a much bigger star now than when he just moved up to 147.

Stop dreaming! Floyd ain't and ever going to fight Pacquiao. Sometime in the distant future we'll be reading about him getting out of prison, he's broke and has lost his house. It is then he'll announce his comeback fight.

well if pacquiao refuses to defend his jr. middleweight title, then he should get the fuck out of there then. and if he does want to defend, put up or shut up. now freddie roach is saying he wants martinez at 147, blah blah blah, what a complete joke he is. tell you what pacquiao, in whatever weight class you fight in, make sure the division weight isn't a catch weight anymore. no more of this bullshit crap. if you're as good as you say you are, well fight someone you don't have any unfair advantage over before the fight even starts.

for one, there's floyd jr., pactard fans say he doesn't want to fight pacquiao cause he's scared. lol...these idiots are the biggest nuthuggers in boxing. do they actually think floyd jr. is afraid? besides, his dad is slowly dying, his uncle who is his trainer, is going on trial early 2011, and he himself has got legal issues as well. i will guarantee the pactards this, floyd will fight pacquiao when all these personal issues are cleared.

there's timothy bradley! you say pacquiao is a welterweight? well, hasn't bradley stated he would fight pacquiao at welterweight? i wonder why he won't fight a young, in his prime champion?

there's andre berto! why not fight this undefeated champion? is he too much of a risk for you, manny?
with the exception of mayweather jr. and berto, the rest of the welters are crap.

then there's joan guzman! he's another undefeated former two time champion! he's been wanting to fight pacquiao since forever. he's only 34 years old, isn't washed up and he's the same size at pacquiao at 5'7". why won't pacquiao fight him?

hey, what about maidana? this fucker has a huge set of nuts and i think he would be a huge risk for pacquiao, but of course, he's TOO much of a risk at this time, and we cannot have none of that.

okay, so pacquiao won't fight the middleweight champion, martinez at jr. middle, that's somewhat understandable, well, how about afredo angulo? he's got one defeat, has a solid chin, isn't as slow as and punches much harder than margarito. besides, he's in his physical prime now. why not take a risk with him?

oh, i got it, how about yuri foreman! didn't you duck him sometime ago? but wait, didn't he get thrashed by miguel angel cotto more recently? maybe now that he lost, he might not be such a big a risk after all! you think?

yeah pacquiao, the boxing world has already caught up unto your little shenanigans! and beating a completely washed up shane mosley will only fuel the suspicion about you as a p4p all-time fighter. remember though, many of your pactard fans consider you right now to be the GOAT!!! so show us!!!
