Yeah it wasn't bogus at all. He tried to elbow him. Was his own daft fault.
Has there ever been a point deduction for an attempted foul ? i can't remember one in recent memory. Just an interesting question if someone can answer it.

So what exactly must one do when hurt. Trade and expose your chin more?
I think Khan did fine in this fight considering the notoriety of Maidana's power, Khan will learn from this and get better.

Props to Khan also for dropping Maidana while Maidana was fresh, that's proof of Khan power. I think Khan should ask for a rematch and try to finish Maidana this time. I remember when everybody was doggin Bute for almost getting stopped by Andrade just to see a rematch redeeming Bute by destroying Andrade.

Maidana didn't really do anything in the 11th. He shot his bolt in the 10th. He kept coming forward but the only decent punches landed were by Amir. Watch it again.

Perhaps you should watch it again. There's no way Khan won 11th or 12th. Maidana won 10-12 clearly.

what i learn in khan's latest fight is that..

    1. He has faster hands than mayweather and pac but still pac is the better combination fighter and mayweather is more accurate than both of them.

    2. He is not as chinny as advertised by the hardcore fans. But still, he isn't as durable as he believes himself to be.lol

    3. his heart is great! No question about it.

    4. He now knows how to survive, but could do better in the future im sure.

    5. still lacks concentration at times

    6. With the amount of work rate he exhibits in the ring he may need to improve more on his conditioning. though he has a good one already. it's just not on par with the mayweather, pac, margo or even williams.

    7. this guy really idolizes pac. he even got the "pac taunt" now. lol

    Probably.

Edit: Yes, Hatton on Mayweather. Same referee. Hatton attempted to hit Mayweather on the back of the head, but hit the ropes instead.

No way. Khan hit Maidana with about 3 or 4 combinations in the 11th. Maidana did a lot of chasing, but didn't land much.

I'd admit,i'm not the biggest Khan fan,But i have to give credit where credit due and say that Aimir really proved himself against a big puncher and what amazed me is how he stood up to it and didnt go down like i thought he would.

Khan showed he has a massive heart and he has gone a long way to proving me wrong,
    Well done Aimir.

Same ref, same City. Hatton vs Mayweather when Hatton missed a punch to the back of the head and hit the ropes.

Khan definatley won the 11th round. Watched the fight twice more since and he definatley won the 11th. Maidana seemed a little gased that he didn't get Khan out of there in the 10th.

Same happened in the 8th, Maidana had Khan in the two rounds previous, the came out and barley threw.

Something else quite ironic I noticed about that 10th round, at the start of the round Maidana barley got off of his stool, we all thought he was going to get bowled over as he didn't look like he wanted to fight at all. Then he landed that big shot and sprang to life.

Why are people complaining about the point deduction? He elbowed the ref for fucks sake. He's lucky he didn't get slung out.

Had the blatant elbow split Khan's head open Maidana would have been DQ'd.
