I've spent ten minutes going through the posts, but there are too many and I don't particularly want to read too many. Plus I have work to go to soon. Maybe someone else with better search skills can find it. But sure Milmiscaras needs some chilling time, but some of the huggers do try to wind him up and in some instances go way beyond the line.
He could have chilled out by choice by making "Goodbye" thread. But instead he had to cross the line with his internet machismo thingy.
If someone is using foul language and saying debased things about your family then you have good reason for being upset. Milmiscaras crossed the line here, I am not denying that. But what I am saying is that we should look at the causes. I think VD will remember that thread and I recall telling Rains that he had gone too far in it.

He gets away with insulting people on a regular basis and has done so to me recently as well. Though of course he would never go as far as he did with Milmiscaras because my very words would burn him alive.

It seems that we turn a blind eye to one person, but not to the other. But that's not the MOD's faults. Maybe next time I should play reporter to the mods, so that it doesn't lead to these kinds of situations. But I don't particularly want to. I would much rather we all just debated freely.

No greater good is served by these kinds of situations.
and what words would those be Miles? Jerk, meany, bad guy?

We're not just talking about name callings here. It's the thought of confronting someone in person and actually taking his life is quite disturbing.

Try saying the things you said to Milmiscaras and see how I respond. Generally speaking I try to show respect to all other posters and for it not to lead into name calling territory. I don't think it is too much to ask other posters to do the same.

Sure, Milmiscaras is guilty of these things too, but what you said in that other thread was way over the line I can understand him going off the deep end in this thread, but at the same time he wasn't right to say what he did. But neither were you, and it was your words from elsewhere that were clearly still etched in his mind.
