wouldn't be shocked to see Wlad drop Haye with just his jab, it's gonna be a slaughter no matter who he faces
Get real... Wlad has a very good chance of stopping Haye. Very good indeed, but don't talk like he's gonna jump on haye and slap him out of there in a punch or two.
Wlad isn't exactly that type of fighter...
If he is so cautious against a short heavyweight with the physique of a slightly fat cruiser weight, then do you honestly think he is going to be all over Haye like a fly on shit in the first few seconds?
He's good and pissed off and knows his opponent doesn't have the caliber of game to trouble him.
I'll be very surprised if the 1st right cross that lands doesn't drop the WBA title holder, I know it will wobble him. The guy has yet to taste true heavyweight power, he's already been dropped once and hurt a couple times by total washed up bums and you guys think he can fight a perfect fight and beat Wladimir? And it WILL take a perfect fight from him to beat either brother.

Hope we don’t see another Corrie Sanders repeat. Big guys like the Klitschko brothers and Lennox Lewis, when he was around, don't have the greatest chins/jaws.

BTW, where is Kirkland Laing? Haven't seen him for a while. He's usually in these type of threads. And he gets all riled up than any Brit when it comes to Haye.

Pissed off? Come on Lyle... I wouldn't have thought you'd think that Haye could get under Wlad's skin, at all. The last thing he should do against Haye is get mad... that would increase haye's chances tenfold.
If he closes haye down and waits for an opening he'll probably stop him, if it's a punch out Haye stands a good uncher's chance to say the least.
But that won't happen, Wlad isn't pissed... if he was the fight would be made right now.
It's hype and business from both sides, I really thought you'd see that.
I guess you probably do but it's easier to say that Wlad is pissed this time so it will be different, rather than admit that however effective his developed style is, it is often embarassing and boring to watch and that it isn't very likely to see a first round KO from him any more. You have to go back almost a decade to see consistant early stoppages from Wlad... it's just not how he fights and I doubt Haye will be any different.
I agree, the first solid cross he lands will drop haye... I don't expect to see it for at least 4-5 rounds of pawing and jabbing though.
The best fight he can make is to keep haye off balance with his left until a bit of fatigue sets in and the chinks show... he won't jump on him earlier because he knows he'll risk another embarassing stoppage, his big brother would never let him live it down if he was stopped by a golfer, a journey man and a cruiserweight!
Those beatings have left their marks and the style he uses will never change because of it.

Are you suggesting Wlad is faster than Haye?
I'd even up a sig bet on this. Not only do I think Haye will win, but I think he'll stop him before the 2nd half of the fight. I really don't think Wlad is a special fighter. What he does is simple. He jabs...and holds when anyone gets close. I'll admit that he's smart, and uses his advantages, but for me he's not in the same league as his big brother. Haye picks his shots, and will be too quick for Wlad working in and out in bursts.

i wouldn't really call Haye anything special either, he gets hit, he doesn't have much variety in his punches and his movement is a bit weak, any top HW from the last 30 yrs would have sparked him, Wlad and Vitali are no exception and i believe both will do it with ease and later get no credit

I'm not saying Haye is special. Every comment you made there ca be applied to Wlad. His movement is weak, he doesn't hav variety in his punches, and any top Heavyweight in the last 30 years would have sparked him.
For me, Haye has better speed, better movement and better variety in his punches and can adapt better to situations mid-fight.

see that's the thing, Wlad DOES have variety of punches he just never has to use them, his jab is outstanding, he has a killer right hand, an excellent left hook, and pretty damn good uppercuts, how many times have you seen Haye hook off of his jab or throw an uppercut right off of his jab?
it's gonna be brutal, and Haye is gonna retire due to "injury"
I guess you don't think Wlad opened up on Sam Peter early enough. Wlad dint "go for broke" but he didn't hold back much, he didn't wait to land the right he just went out there and threw it....hooks and uppercuts too. But then again Sam has a solid chin.
I keep telling you Manny Steward sees the heavyweight landscape devoid of talent and he's going to push Wlad to fight in a style closer to how he used to fight.
