He's like a carbon copy of his brother.
I think he's slightly faster a bit more wild with wider shots but he actually put his hands up and blocked shots also showed some really good waist movement.

I'm actually excited by that, and hope that somehow Edwin's warrior spirit (if not murderer spirit) lives on in his brother and in a couple years time we will have another Valero approaching 18-0 with 18 first round KO's.

Sounds like a long shot, but the way they seem to be marketing suggests they have exactly the same idea too.

I wouldn't be that surprised if he bangs out a few consecutive first round wins for a while.........
    What people? Too soon?

Do you reckon he will pick up a belt like his brother did Mick? It's remarkable how similar they both are I think. I'm actually really excited to see how he develops.
With as many belts floating around the chances are really good.

I agree I want to see more of him...

He looks completely terrible in that one vid embedded, if he weren't fighting a complete nobody he'd be a first round KO victim!

    Could have been Bilbo.

I'm not too sure about how much trouble he would have given Pac, that's his kind of fight.

Remembering Valero reminds me of what could have been though, like JMM vs. Valero which was very possible.

IMO JMM vs Valero wouldn't have been much more different than Marquez Katsidis

You're likely right; it would have been a hell of a fight.
Valero just had those heavy hands, but De Marco handled it well if I remember correctly.

Lets see if this bro can be something Edwin could have been. Based on that vid he is very similar ( apart from the stance ) but I'll be looking forward to seeing him go on in his career after a couple more years of blowing away bums.

The new Valero looked pretty good to me. Quick hands, aggression, speed, reflexes. Cant judge him too much on that display apart from how he got it done which was was impressive.

Except if Valero caught him clean like Kats did he would have been counting ceiling tiles

and you determined that from what? the 3 kd's Pacquiao scored on him and how he got up from ALL of them, same thing in the rematch, and against Mayweather and Katsidis

As described in the 2010 Ring Almanac Valero is a Murderous puncher, I think Valero has "that" type of power than when he hurts you you're pretty much done. I would not say Maequez can't beat him but Valero is so much better than Katsidis.

Sure but you dont get hit that cleanly and that many times buy a guy like Edwin Valero. He was a ferocious puncher and not the kind of guy you get into a fire fight with. It would not have been a flash Knock down.

JMM would have fought Valero alot different than Kats, thats my point
