The WBA title holder doesn't want to fight Vitali so the fight won't happen, he only wants to fight Wlad and he had an opportunity to July 2nd and he got his panties in a bunch because Wlad wanted to honor his word to Chisora and get that fight out of the way.

If we're to believe the rumors then Adamek vs either Wlad or Vitali could happen in September which would be cutting it awfully close to that October retirement we've heard so much about

I read an interview with him before the Mormeck fight saying he wanted out by the age of 30. He's a businessman first and a boxer second. Said he wanted out before he ended up losing his reflexes. Vowed he would never go on too long.

Can't help feeling the retirement thing has no become a ploy. A "now or never" offer to try and back Wlad into a corner.

He's more suited to the talk show circuit and perhaps reality tv, I'm sure that type of fame will be more to his taste than anything he could achieve in boxing.

Bollocks. The Briggs fight that fell through years ago was never honored so why is he now starting to do it? Because he wants no part of Haye.

I hope I'm wrong and now I've had time to calm down and think I hope Haye gets the fight with Chagaev signed for March and then agrees to fight Wlad in July, BUT even if he did I think Wlad would say the date needed changing as you need more than 8 weeks to train for and promote the biggest fight of your career. And that is one thing I would agree with in the modern boxing climate!

thing is if chisora was to defeat wlad then that puts haye outta the heavyweight picture altogether as there is a rematch clause in the contract & i think there is a clause for chisora to fight vitali as well, haye could retire now
