Audley to keep his purse from Haye fight

I didnt pay for the fight and think the people that did got what they deserved. Everyone knew exactly what we were gonna get with Audley so for the BBBC to talk about witholding his purse having sanctioned the fight themselves is joke. Talk about locking the stable door after the horse had bolted. . . . .

The public humiliation Audley continues to face should suffice. Cant withold pay though because then every fight would have to be reviewed to see if a fighter gave 100% in order to be consistent and so that adds to the farce boxing is rapidly becoming. You say Khan got beat by a puncher but is Haye not a puncher? Audley is awful always has been and always will be but he turned up for his job. His pay cheque wasnt performance related and he wasnt working on commission. The BBBC knew this and didnt wana risk getting taken to court knowing they didnt have a leg to stand on.

Dont want to defend Audley because it was a terrible effort but this wise after the event stance people have taken having bought into the hype is a joke. The people that made the fight are responsible. Audley was out of his depth and a lamb to the slaughter. He never stood any chance.
