Where are the fanbases? It bewilders me, it really does. Okay, not the best location for this fight and it is expensive, but it seems that there are hardly any fans out there.

Not good at all. This will be a quality scrap.
Not really a fair comparison with England being roughly the size of New York. If Hatton fans were Bradley fans driving to Michigan from the California They'd have to drive from England to Turkey.
I think he meant they were able to bring way more than 500 people across the pond to vegas and whereever else they fought...

Silverdome sale price disappoints | detnews.com | The Detroit News

where the fight is taking place, sold for a mere 583k for a full fledged arena/stadium insane.

Hatton is hardly a fair comparison in terms of popularity though.

A domestic fight over here get minimum one two thousand I agree it is easier to sell over here are champs are few and far between compared to the States, but for such a huge fight between Bradley and Alexander it is quite a poor affair when only few hundred fans have bought tickets, especially when alot of people think this is one of the biggest fights in the sport.

I think in many parts of the States this fight would draw thousands of spectators, but Detroit is an absolute wasteland. I could be wrong, but I don't think there's a place in the U.K. that compares economically with Detroit at the moment. Almost no one there has the disposable cash to spend on a niche sport for two fighter from different parts of the country.

It would have been great to have them host it in the UK though, and it would set up a clash with Khan pretty well.

Hatton brought over 20,000 for Floyd and around 10,000 for Pac. Incredible.
