I think we'd be a lot better off. Kenny's going to do well before the season is over. We've just got to make good personnel moves
I agree with all of that. We've got decent individual players, but they just don't seem to know how to play together. Also the squad lacks depth, so it's hard getting them on the field at the same time. Plus people like Torres seem to be really off their game bar the odd moment like against Blackpool. Gerrard going missing makes an automatic dent in the team and we shouldn't be relying on people like him all the time as the season is long and tough on the legs.

To a degree i agree, but in all fairness ya cannot play Cole, Merieles, Kuyt, Lucas in midfield, we need width, and with them 4 the is none !! All of them like to operate through the middle or like to cut inside from the wing far too much which creates congestion in the middle of the park, and confusion. The likes of Torres * Gerrard have no-where to go because of the congestion created by said players coming inside.

Width is what we need, bring back the days of a Barnes on the wing, Mcmanaman raiding the flanks, or at least get a couple of fullbacks that would bomb forward and get past the midfielders to create the width and get the crosses in.

We do need some width which is why I'd like for us to get Turan, but Honda could really help us out as well.

Anyone heard who we might actually pick up?

We haven't had proper width since Mcmananman left

Danny Murphy, Patrick Berger, Steven Gerrard, Dirk Kuyt, Ryan Babel.... Just can't cut it out wide.

Nicky Barnby was maybe the exception but then he was never exceptional. Riise was a left back.

Good points Matty, Dalglish was the last one to have that kind of dynamism and for it to really work well, so maybe he will be able to create something like that again. It's not going to be easy though. Benitez had some success, but I really didn't like what he brought to the team as a manager at all and we have been lumbered with the decisions that he made really. I would love for the clock to be turned back somehow, but there is clearly a fair bit of rot in our style and in how the team members interact on the pitch. Let's just see how it pans out in the next month or so. I really don't think we are quite as bad as our table position is suggesting though.

Kenny is looking at bringing in 4 players:
Dalglish targets four January buys - Liverpool FC & http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/media...al-dutch-swoop

The name that stands out from the report is Luis Suarez, which is a name i've banging on about for some time now, this kid is quality, despite his naughty side i would have him in a flash !!!

Shit not Titus, the man's a rock at the back.

I read Liverpool are after Parker and/or Cattermole. Cattermole is a good player when he's not injured, recovering from injury or suspended. Which is most of the time really. They'll probably be linked with nearly everyone that might be available until someone actually signs

Emanuelson is a quality player also, can play left back, or left winger. I play with Ajax on Pro Evo on lads night, and his pace and dribbling ability is through the roof, very good player that i would welcome.

M'vila is a french international that played for them in the game against England at wembley recently. Again another solid midfielder that would work well with Stevie G in the centre !

Cattermole ?!?!? NOOOOO !! jesus that kid is the most over-rated player in the premier league after John Terry !! Being from Middlesbrough myself, the lad is a complete tit !! he got barred from every pub/club on teesside, he's an arrogant, self-indulgent twat ! would have to consider my allegiance to Liverpool if he signed !!

So refreshing seeing Spurs and City in the mix
Agreed mate, love seeing us in 2nd. And don't mind seeing Spurs up there aswell. Makes a nice change.

Wouldn't count Chelsea out yet though.

I've only seen him have maybe one bad game for us. Extremely solid defender, though his concentration does lapse every now and then. I feel bad for being so skeptical when we signed him, we wouldn't have so many clean sheets without him
