but when chad dawson fought smart, he handled glenn. froch should watch that fight and do the exact same thing. it'll be a good fight, i imagine, will go the distance, and froch will get the win on the cards.
Agreed, but the key is that Johnson is going to use pace and pressure to get Froch to crack and stray from BOXING. The pressure can force fighters to stand and fight, and I just question if Froch is dedicated to boxing smartly. I do figure Froch will win, I want Johnson to win because he's a hard worker and has had a lot of bad luck in his career, but I see it as a UD/SD for Froch.

Froch beats Johnson by entertaining but one sided dec. Froch, although flawed, is still very skilled and always in peak shape.

He would argue that he has beaten better than Froch but I think Tarver and Jones were past it.

A points win for Froch would siuffice but it would only be repeating what Clinton Woods did years ago to a younger Johnson so for Froch to make a statement he really has to try and finish the old man. For 8 or 9 rounds I can see Froch keeping him on the end of his left jab and opening up at times to keep the veteran at bay. In the championship rounds though Id like to see him go all out. Johsnon is in his 40s and isnt a massive banger so Froch should be able to win a war and if he doesnt atleast he closes the show in style. Either way Froch wins a 1 sided fight.

Difference between Froch and Dawson is handspeed, footwork, quickness and unreal athleticism which Froch has none of the above.

Froch is tough and fit as a fiddle though with outstanding self belief and determination to go with thudding power.. I think Froch is there to be hit though and Glenn is a grinder with a granite chin with the tenacity and rage of a forest fire.. If Glen gets old overnight Froch peppers him if not it's easily fight of the year and a dream fight with outstanding style matchup.. I don't know who will win nor am I confident to predict either way

I don't disagree with any of that. I just meant that Chad can box and it turns out that so can Carl. Carl sticks that jab like he did with Abraham, he takes a decision against Glen.

Am the only person who doesn't think this fight should even be happening?

I agree it will be entertaining but Ward and Froch are the the only two of the original Super Six to have survived and should be fighting in the final now.

Why put an obstacle in the way of that great fight?

Beacuse Froch has to fight Johnson and Ward an as yet unamed opponent there is a very good chance that the Ward Froch Super Six final might get derailed.

Stupid decision to even have this fight, but at least it will be entertaining.

Like most I expect Froch to win a tough but unanimous decision.

Beating Johnson who loses every time he steps up (albiet in close decisions) does nothing for Froch though. He shouldn't be fighting 40 year old men, he should be fighting Andre Ward.
