it was a great punch by Donaire, but i gotta say that the ref was a complete moron, he should have either stopped the fight once Montiel got up, or make sure Donaire was in the neutral corner before allowing it to continue (can't really blame Nonito for pouncing on him, it's not his job it's the refs)
gotta give Montiel credit though the way he just popped up from such a hellish shot (and the Simon Brown replay) was crazy, i honestly wouldn't mind a rematch down the road, cause i honestly think it would play differently
but back the the original topic, i still don't have Donaire in the top 5, i have him barely making the top 10 (probably at around 7 ormy top 5 as of right now is
Pacquiao
Mayweather
Martinez
Marquez
Lopez

Like anybody will believe you.... nice joke tho'. Anyone who reads how you bash Filipino fighters witrh your posts now know how your hatred turned you into a BIG joke. Did you not see the huge crater-like damage left on the side of Montiel's face where Nonito's counter left hook landed? And here you are talking about a rematch! Nice joke... haha! You have got to buy humble pie to go with the crow for your next meal!
And get rid of your joke sig, not only that it's old, it's irrelevant! LOL!

it already seems to have pissed off Kankersore haha either way yea i put my top 5, seems that the little bitch couldn't handle the fact that there are still fighters out there who have accomplished a lot more and are still more deserving than Donaire, i mean it was a great win, and that's why i finally have him on the p4p list, but 2 good wins don't put you right up there on the p4p list especially with the gap between those 2 fights, IMO the guys i have up in the top 5 are more deserving and have done a lot more than Donaire

I respect Montiel. I've never ever talk crap about him. I said "he will get slaughtered or KTFO" but that just about it. He still have better boxing resume than Donaire. 40 something win with 70 percent KO rate against some good names. No one can take that away from him. But the better man won last night. Beat the man to be the man as they say.
Donaire is getting exaggeratedly overhype right now regarding this p4p thing. Like I'm trying to say in first page of this thread. Pacquiao only became one of the top p4p fighter when he defeated Barrera for the first time. I think Nonito will have to win a lineal belt in heavier weight class too to deserve such accolade he's receiving right now.

Calderon was a two weight champion. That adds roughly 500 more fighters to the 311.
That means he was the king of 800 boxers. Which is the equivalent of topping the super-middleweight division.
So if you think Ward is P4P worthy based on his exploits at 168 then mathematically so is Calderon. Fact.![]()
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.

Not really. Firstly he picked up belts in two divisions, he wasnt king as demonstrated by the fact he just got knocked out trying to unify.
Furthermore he never really moved up to become a two weight champ. He started his career at 107 then moved down to win a 105 title and then went back up
In his entire career the difference between his max and min weights is less than 4lbs. Against Segura he weighed the same as he did on his debut so he has hardly torn through the divisions a la Pacquaio or Barrera, Morales, Marquez etc.
Hes a great defensive fighter but I highly doubt he would have been as succesful as a welterweight without more power. IN fact I challenge you to name a fighter in the higher weight classes who was as highly rated as Calderon with as little power in the past 20 years? 30 years?
As for a comparison to Ward. Not many have Ward on their p4p lists unless I am much mistaken? Also I think Wards potential to achieve more than Calderon is very likely. Most would believe that Ward could ultimately be competitive as high as 175 and still be a world champ, certainly he will likely attempt that eventually.
Calderon has gone up 3 lbs, and even that was going back up th where started out originally rather than climbing to face bigger guys.
