To be fair only the most articulate and erudite of boxers use all five points. Most just use 3 and repeat them. You forgot to go away and speak to your team and family.I don't really see the point of interviewing any sports stars. You can just do the interview in your head it's so fucking banal.Boxers are often awful when faced with a microphone, I guess that is why they punch people in the face for a living. They rarely knock you out with their words. At least 70% of all boxers go into the 'god speech' and it just makes me want to read some Richard Dawkins.haha I agree with the comments about annoying sayings.
'At the end of the day, it is what it is, if it's part of God's plan you know what I mean?' would be the most annoying, meaningless statement that someone could utter.
Which I why I cringe every time Paul Williams gets interviewed on HBO.
'Well Larry first of all I want to thank my lord and saviour Jesus Christ. You know Larry I just did what I had to do you, x is a hell of a fighter you know, and I knew that if I was going to win I would have to bring my A game and do what I do you know. And that's what I did, I really turned it on tonight you know, I brought my A game and when I do what I do I believe I can beat anybody. Yes I thought I was going to knock him out, but you know what he's a really tough fighter man and you know... but praise be to my lord and saviour Jesus Christ who gave me the power to bring this belt home you know.
Of course the losing speech is even more cut and paste, consisting of not being able to get punches off, headbutts, a drawing board and it all being part of God's plan.

It drove me fooking nuts....eventually I just stopped talking and went with 'mmm hmm' and nodding the head. Sure as shit at the end she started apologizing for taking up so much of our time...as she's walking out the door. Not in a smart ass way but again is some over compensation or self doubting (?) way. At least 11 Thank yous and 4 I'm sorrys within 7,8 minutes. What is that ?
