Its confusing because I thought he didnt make weight for the fight but still got the belt

It would be impressing if he holds on to it for a long time but eventually he does have to fight somebody that will give him problems.
The contracted weight for the fight was 150lbs. The problem he had was not making the contractual weight. He had to fork over 30% to keep Hatton from pulling out. The weight class is to 154lb so he could weigh anywhere from 147.01 - 154 lbs and the belt would be on the line.
