Real talk from Lou DiBella.
Agree with all of it to be honest.

He certainly tells it like it is. I agree with him being no 2 p4p. It's hard to put him above manny tho because mannys been beating top guys for alot longer then martinez.
It's gonna be hard for him to get #1 without fighting the lights of Pac/Mayweather but they won't want to go near him. It would be different if he was a light middleweight but now, with him comfortable at middleweight, he is too big for either of them. Especially Pac. Just my opinion, anyway.
Yeah I agree. I only put him above mayweather because of mayweathers activity level (or lack of). The only way Martinez could fight these guys is at some unrealistic catchweight demands, and I can't see Martinez And his team bowing to that. only way I see him becoming p4p no1 is him moving up in weight and fighting And beating the top guys there. It's true what diebella said tho, Martinez is a beast and I don't think mayweathers team or pacs team want anypart of him on a level playing field
I agree with all of it too. Pac and Mayweather want no part of Martinez. I really don't know who he's going to fight next, not much left at 160. I completely agree with the Pirog statement, all he did was beat a highly touted prospect in Daniel Jacobs.
I put Martinez #2. Easily. The guy is not only very active he's beating up top opposition. Barring a big tko upset vs Mosley Manny will have matched or topped whatever Floyd has done, except protect his "0" like his life depends on it. P4P is really just a subjective marketing tool now anyways. Edit... Martinez beats em both.

Where is Taeth? I've been waiting to hear what he thought of Martinez outjabbing a jabber.
As a promoter I feel that it is not his place for him to disrespect a fighter.
Sure promoters take little jabs here and there and say so and so is scared or things like that but to say "Fuck so and so we're never fight him" really sounds like DiBella is genuinely angry.
I understand he's pissed, I get it however I still think was a bit clasless on his part.
Sergio himself would not say something like that I'm almost positive Sergio would say sure bring him on I'll beat him too and he would.
It's true Arum is not putting any of his guys in there with Martinez. He is an animal.
I gotta agree. Pirog has beat one guy, and jacobs was really only a prospect in the first place. Martinez would beat him easy at this point. Down the road who knows. Martinez really doesn't have anybody at 154 or 160 that is a threat to him. So i think that's where all the pirog, kirkland sillyness comes from.

I don't get it tbh. Kirkland leaves himself wide open. If he rushed Martinez like that he'd be on the losing end of a well timed left hand inside 4 rounds. Pirog has not earned the right to have a money fight like Martinez. He came in through the back door KOing an untested prospect. Cheers to him for winning a world title but he didn't beat a champion for it. If Sergio needs to he should go to Germany to fight Sturm. He sure won't come here.
Exactly. I'd see a Williams/Martinez III. I'd watch Martinez/Cotto. I'd watch Sturm/Martinez. Kirkland's fought like 1 fight in 2 years. Pirog and Kirkland have not earned the right to fight for the legitimate middleweight title in a big money fight... Hell, at least Dzinziruk had been a world champ for years.
Pirog vs Williams would be a good scrap!
It'll be decided on marketability rather then who'll make a good contest. Maybe even a Kirkland but he has a lot of rust to shake and even after he gets pole axed inside of 6 rounds. Martinez would batter a slower, battle worn backfoot Cotto. Far to fast.
