Actually as soon as he gets up you can see him shaking his head at the corner as well. He knows his leg is busted. I would say it was absolutely nothing to do with the punch at all.

He goes down about 3 seconds after he gets hit, as soon as he steps back on his leg. It just gives out. He doesn't look hurt at all when he steps back either.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I was hoping Vitali would produce a late career beatdown, but I was actually quite impressed with how sharp Solis looked. Sure, he is too heavy but he seems to have skills too. He was winning that round fairly clearly. Vitali was more active, but not really landing with anything. And then the leg went.

The shot that Vitali threw landed only partially and I didn't see a particularly pained look on the face of Solis from that. As you say, he stepped back and his leg went. There is no way to fake ligament damage nor continue with that kind of injury. His leg was totally gone.

Solis has gone up in my book, but I can see why everyone else wants to put him down. He got a pay day for a single round, but unlike someone like Audley, he actually looked pretty sharp for how long he lasted. Hopefully he will bounce back, learn his lesson and do well.

Such a stupid article. Did Oner write that himself? It read Solis on his way to dethronig Vitali....lol it was one freaking round that he lost 10-8. I certainly wouldnt pay for tickets to see that bullshit. Let him prove he can fight with his knee busted up against some decent opponents first theres plenty of guys like Eddie Chambers, Chris Arreola that he should have to face first to prove himself. True, but had the knee not collapsed it would not have been a 10-8 round. Solis was winning the round IMO and I was backing against him. It wasn't a knock down in the usual sense, but you have to give it to Vitali as the ref started counting.

I think Solis has been rushed through too quickly too, but it was a loss brought about through a freak injury. Personally, I would rather he came back in a warm up against those types of opponents too, but I would have no qualms with a rematch.

I don't think he will be ready to fight in 6 months if that injury is as they say and he should certainly have a tune up first to test it out. I guess he just wants to get his shot at Vitali before he retires which I think he may well do at the end of this year.

Well after having seen the entire "fight" as opposed to just watching the knockdown/injury. Solis may have been winning the round up until he got hurt, but however hard that punch was it DID stun Solis who I think as he was backing up while hurt didn't have good control of himself and he fell with his leg under his fat ass thereby tearing up his knee. All I have to say is rematch or no rematch Solis has a very weak chin...but he is a good boxer I saw some flashes of speed, good combinations, and decent defense, but that chin is very shakey
