Holy shit, anyone see this. Escalante got smoked. Totally took me by surprise that one. I liked him, and after his war with Roman I would have said he had a great chin. Also looked like he waved it off himself when sat on the ground. He certainly makes shit difficult for himself.

I saw it. Watched it for the same reason you did, his fight with Miguel Roman was tremendous. I expected similiar action last night, then Escalante got taken out by a great overhand right. Pretty surprising upset for me.

Thats exactly right, just thought he's totally good for the money Escalante, was real gutted for the guy....

I felt bad for Escalante too. He needed this win, and next fight is a MUST WIN. Escalante is a talented boxer-puncher, not a journeyman. And he's headed to journeymanville with another loss or two like he had last night. Good for Perez tho, quite a lil upset. I think Ponce De Leon may have dented Escalante's chin and confidence to take a shot.
