You need more than speed. Khan has no inside game, and his outside game is based purely on speed, everything is derived from it. Depending so much on one thing would make him easy to pick apart for a guy like Floyd.

The Datsik guy on here is commenting about Judah, well Floyd did time Zab's speed and counter punching, but look how they lined up, Floyd was trying to control Zab, he wasn't trying to box Zab the same way he does orthodox fights. He was using his right hand like a jab to control the distance and angle, and I think it took him a few rounds to calibrate it against a slick counter puncher like Judah. Mosley has the speed and more power than Judah and only landed in that one round. De La Hoya had good handspeed, and he is very good at not telling before he punches, but he barely landed anything on Floyd. Well De La Hoya and even Mosley have better defenses than Khan. If Floyd was trying to play the speed game just on the outside against Khan he would likely be beaten because of Khan's speed and output, but Floyd always mixes it up, he will avoid Khan's punches on the outside, likely hit him with a shot or two coming in, then go to work on Khan's body.

This isn't even about how good FLoyd is, as it is about how one dimensional Roach's fighters truly are, and if they aren't as uniquely blessed as Pacquiao that they are in deep shit against any elite fighter. All of his guys have a particular in and out movement, and they get in great shape, and they get very fluid at throwing combinations and moving, but he doesn't teach inside fighting to them, and he doesn't teach them how to really control space. Manny has the power and punch output to do it, but even he doesn't control his opponent as much as he simply beats them up.

Just like Hatton. Judah wasn't a real full welter. But Khan is. Plus Amir is more diciplined fighter than those two. That's why I think he's got a good chance against Floyd.

IMO Manny doesn't beat Floyd so much less does Amir fucking Khan, hell i'd be shocked to see him get by Bradley easily, and if he can't dominate Bradley he has no chance in hell of ever even hanging with Mayweather

Amir was smoked by Prescott and damn near ran from maidana. I know people want to see Floyd loose but khan beating Floyd when I doubt he is even the best in his own division is laughable. Just my opinion . I'd give spadafora a better shot. And I even give him a slim chance in hell

At this stage Floyd beat Amir who is not even the best light welter. As Floyd is inactive and Khan beats Bradley and grows and moves up he will stand a good chance.

IF Khan beats Bradley, and also HOW, cause like i said unless it's a completely dominant performance then he has no shot against Floyd

the longer Khan waits to fight PBF the more worried I would be he would beat him.

Khan is fast and Floyd doesn't have the one punch KO power of Maidana. Those are the guys who beat Khan . Thats why there's no chance of a Maidana rematch (or Prescott forf that matter )

Floyd hits a hell of a lot harder than most people give him credit for, and he knows how to throw straight punches (unlike Maidana & Prescott) and knows how to throw them quickly and accurately, he has more than enough power to rock and hurt Khan and i'm sure he'll stop him before the 10th

Mayweather would have to be old and slowing down for Khan to win. I agree with ElTerribleMorales in that I don't give Khan any chance in this fight unless he dominates Bradley, which I don't see happening. If it were to happen any time soon then Mayweather would dominate and stop Khan. Khan is very hittable and Mayweather would be able to counter him with ease.

I'd bet my house on it that Amur would lose inside 5 rounds

You woud lose your house. I think the one thing that would be similar to mayweather-Judah is it would take 4-5 rounds for mayweather to adapt to his speed.

Floyd would absolutely thrash Khan. Whenever Khan opens his mouth it annoys, he needs to prove that he's any good... This'll do it, but he's got no chance...

Future world champ Not a chance either.

Erm, I kind of hate to break it to you, but Khan is already a world champ!

And no Khan wouldn't beat Floyd, Khan is just a not as good version of Floyd.

Then you might as well say bye to your house now. Not only is Floyd a slow starter (and hasn't finished anyone inside 5 rounds since 1998 ) but like said above at the very least it would take him a good few rounds to adjust to khan's speed.

I think it's a interesting fight none the less. Floyd hasn't fought a khan type of fighter for a while (young, fast, ambitious, etc) and has been very inactive lately.. on top of all the legal bull he's going through, you have to wonder what kind of frame of mind he's going to be in by the time he steps into the ring next, if at all.
