Dude looked amazing .. As did Martinez last week and nonaire the week before that . Easy to be hyped of the last thing we see . Gamboa is fast strong etc .... But five min ago when Juan ma was ko'ing everyone in the first and beating the crap outta Gerry p and ponce the same was said of him . I think both have serious defensive issues and it'll just be who hits who first. If gamboa didnt play for the crowd and kept his hands resonably up he could win easy, but we all seen guys beat speed with timing and Juan ma can hit. So who knows ? Both are bad ass in their own way

Well i've seen alot of his fights on youtube, and from all the knockdown's he has suffered. He's never looked hurt and he's always got straight back up, a bit like Felix Trinidad really who would go down often early in his career, then proceed to beat the crap out of his opponents.

I haven't seen that one i'll have to check that out, i've seen most of his early fights and championship fights. But that one i missed totally, i haven't been following boxing as much though. Im catching up on recent fights like a few weeks after they happened bad i know.

I love Gamboa, he's almost like a little Roy Jones Jr. !

He is the fastest man in boxing today. But lets not go too crazy over his domination of Solis, because honestly Solis offered up virtually NO OFFENSE. Now some if that is because of Gamboa's speed, but clearly Solis had no game plan, no plan of attack, and no iniative. He came in overly confident and had his hands at his waist.

Solis really was not a good measuring stick for Gamboa.

Not too sure about that. Not saying he is or isn't. BUT just because he has been down a few times doesn't mean he's chinny. He's got up and won each time. ODLH was floored a couple of times early in his career and he was far from chinny. Time will tell.

To me this guy is showing signs of being special, he looks like a mini RJJ offensively but is a bit short of Roy (upto now) as far as defence goes. I think he takes Lopez apart for record though!

agreed it's a real 50/50 fight, also i'd say they're about even in power, Gamboa has more speed but IMO Juanma is more technically sound, he throws straighter shots and has a wider variety of punches
