I don't see how the two compare at all. Cintron was gifted a draw in a fight in which he not only convincingly outboxed but also knocked out.
The Kessler Froch fight was very competitive and Kessler won it. Some have argued Froch may have done enough but absolutely nobody would argue it was a robbery. I thought Kessler shaded it myself and a win is a win at the end of the day.
A better comparison for Martinez would be Paul Williams who won a hotly contested decision over Martinez, and WAS rated higher p4p as a result going into their rematch. Of course he got annihilated but that's another matter.
In the Supermiddleweight rankings it's difficult to have Kessler below Froch considering he beat him in his last fight.
Again Nonito Donaire is a perfect example. He knocked out Darchinyan and then did nothing for three years. Meanwhile Vic rebuilt, became a two weight world champ and rose up into the p4p rankings. As a result of Vic's success Donaiare rose up too always staying abover Darchinyan despite fighting paddy field farmers and fisherman.
