    Calderon is getting a hard time imo. He was getting battered by a bigger man. Have no problem with him 'quitting'.

    Yup. Ivan has been an over achiever in a division completely ignored. I bet he never made more then 150 grand a fight.

    Yup. Ivan has been an over achiever in a division completely ignored. I bet he never made more then 150 grand a fight.
    i know damn well he's made more than that, especially here on the island, given how 90% of his fights were PPV's and he was always the headliner, every fight he's had on the island has sold out, he's made good money better than some of the other guys at the higher weight classes

    Not going to fight you man. He's one of my faves but Montiel prior to Donaire was set to make 80 thousand dollars to fight Morel. In a market that pays a group of primadonna's 10 million a fight.

    all i'm saying is that if he would have been a bit bigger or had power in his punches he would have been just as big as Cotto and Lopez in popularity, i mean given the handful of decent names that he's dominated and the amount of praise he's gotten by guys like Iole and Rafael you just need to look at his record, his birth date, and it lets you know how special the guy really has been
