Anyway on your thread topic, I agree he's done, but not because of this. Some boys I know from the UK went out to NY to turn pro & they train at Gleason's & they were telling me that were doing Harris over. There may be some exaggeration, but people I could hold my own with in sparring should not be having up a former world champ.
Jessie Vargas looked good, like a Panchito Bojado. But if he's one of the best in boxing I would think he'd have more KO's against bums than he does. Maybe he's just not a power puncher.

I like how you twisted it around to make it appear that you could beat up Harris. "I know a guy who knows a guy..."

Seriously tho, thats what I was thinking as well, that Harris must be getting battered and dropped in sparring these days. He just cannot take a shot at all anymore.
I didn't mean it like that, I just think that I (a very unnoteworthy amateur) should not be able to hang with guys who can 'have up' Vivian Harris, even if they've obviously since gone pro/probably recklessly exaggerating etc. If he's not dominating those guys, he should not be getting in the ring with top prospects.

On Vargas, I've seen him many times & been very impressed. He often seems to look to take in rounds rather than blaze people out of there. Plus his opp for a 15 bouter is actually pretty good, some of the better journeymen in there. Now I've said this I bet he gets blazed out in a minute in his next fight
