I posted on my facebook that because of how the fight finished, it might not win fight of the year, but round 6 is going to be really hard to top for round of the year.

The first half of the fight was a rollercoaster but I really thought the pace slowed down and the drama was no longer their the second half.

I still have Morales vs Maidana as fight of the year.

Up in the air. Probally because I watched Morales vs Maidana on a iffy stream. Watched the replay an hour ago of Ortiz vs Berto. Even though I picked Ortiz to win by tko I was still suprised with how he more or less owned the fight. He went down but was steady, after he ate a huge right hand in the 1st...that did ALOT for him.

Tito, just to clarify - I bet $100 on Ortiz to KO Berto. FRom when Ortiz smashed him up in the first I thought my bet was a winner. When Ortiz made that ridiculous comeback in the 6th I thought my bet was a winner.

I ended up LOSING!!! I bet the right man but lost by betting the incorrect outcome. Hence I said the fight was the worst for me. Get it!?!? Great fight. Fact. Disappointing for my my pocket. Fact.

My own view is that a FOTY ought to be just a competitive slugfest. It ought to be conducted at a high skill level. Berto's feet are absolutely atrocious and Ortiz thinks moving other than in a straight line is a felony.

On the other hand Foreman-Lyle was a FOTY IIRC.
