I caught the first 6 rounds of the fight. I thought Barker looked very good. Has a nice boxer-puncher style.
What happened in the second half of the fight? I see the scores were close with Barker winning by 2 & 3 points. Did he fade late?

He didn't fade, he actually looked surprisingly fresh even at the end considering he hadnt fought for a year. The scores were not a true reflection of the fight it was pretty much all Barker but he wasn't bashing Spada up but maybe the judges liked Spadas aggressiveness, he did catch Barker on occasion but he was never in trouble.
I agree though Barker looked good, put his combinations together well he is a tidy boxer. I think he'd beat Macklin pretty easily on that performance. The only Chance i see macklin having is dragging Barker in to a war but i don't think he'd be able to do that.
Scores were surprising I thought Barker basically pitched a shutout. Jim Watt had it 118-110 I think. I agree on his style though its not exactly action packed excitement and he doesnt have much of a punch.
