War mosley !!!!!
Mayweather deserves to be on the same drugs as Pacquiao so they can be on a level playing field. Pacquiao is a pill muncher. I will never get over that. He is a cheat. Now he is going to get beat by a bigger cheat, and justice will be served. Then we can look back and say that the girlfriend beater and cell phone stealer was the guy we should be looking up to all along. God I am sick of people putting Pac down for no reason. NONE.. no evidence. get over it. You are not the authority on who has done right of wrong.
But I voted mayweather is a gay. That makes me biased, so that everyone on here can hate me for my meaningless opinion.
"Floyd needs to inject Xylocaine into his balls to gain the courage to fight Pacquiao."
- and I quote from some random guy on the internet
Hope Mosley can turn back the years and win but its a long shot. But if he lands a clean shot on Manny it could get very intresting.
If he doesnt win i hope its a hell of a fight and Mosley doesnt get badly hurt.
If Mosley catches Pacquiao like he caught Mayweather they'll have to stop the fight for at least a few minutes whilst they find Pac's head. Ok he probably won't be decapitated, but a man can dream. I'm just a little bit annoyed about this fight being made to be honest. I can see the goodwill between both fighters, but there's something sinister about Manny taking on a fighter who he knows Mayweather probably could have destroyed if he had wanted to (after he got bitch-slapped out of his complacency by Mosley, lol). The man is 39 ffs. And for these reasons, I'm hoping Mosley pulls a rabbit out of a hat - and beats Manny senseless with it. In the animal kingdom we see the young lion approaching the old one and we say to ourselves 'It's not pretty, but it's necessary. One must live, one must die. That's the way it works. They're animals, after all.' But where is the necessity in this? I just hope that Shane does not get needlessly hurt, though as a fighter myself I'm almost as worried about the possible damage this fight could do to his pride. Nothing worse than to see a legendary fighter lose his pride in the ring. Hope Mosley times the shit out of him!
Floyd is hoping for (a): Mosley to pull it off so he doesn't ever have to face Pac or (b):Mosley to land some decent right hands in a somewhat competitive bout.
Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, and hopefully Mosley (in Floyd's mind) landed shots on Pac. Did Pac take the shots well? Yes, but Pac is really a junior welter fighting bigger guys. He is marked up after every fight and after enough fights against bigger guys it will have to catch up to Pac. Floyd is hoping that all of these fights take a small toll on Pac (anything to give Floyd a better shot to win).
You're right (nice Beckett's allusion btw). However, I am not waiting for Pac-Mayweather, there is a tons of other potentially exciting fights. THe idea is just that if Pacman loses, the slight remaining chance that it might happen is down for good. I prefer looking somewhere else knowing that it still could happen at some point rather than to know it's quite down the drain.

That's the way it is, not the way it ends
thing I've noticed lately with all these long in the tooth fighters knocking about, they still have it...they just don't have it for 3minutes and 12 twelve rounds.
Good point Missy. Form is temporary. Class is permenant.
I dont think his pride will be hurt. He is an old man and has that excuse. He knows nobody gives him a chance. From 16 experts polled all picked Pac and most by Ko so how can this be sold as a competative fight? Mosley has nothing to lose and his rep wont suffer if he does lose because he couldnt even beat a TV reality star in his last fight so if anything it will damage Mannys rep more for fighting him in the 1st place.
With the advanced lateral movement Manny's got going on he should be really difficult to hit. Unfortunately in some ways he is still very one dimensional. He will come at you constantly, even if you hit him, for 12 rounds. If you're Mayweather that gives you 36 minutes to try and knock him out with a perfect punch. If you're Mosley it gives you at best 5 rounds, but yes, Manny is still very hitable - he doesn't have great head movement, and he has zero ability in terms of spontaneous evasion/upper body movement (though not many boxers/fighters are good at this anyway, because it is not an easy trick to master). All of this means that once he begins a flurry, if you're willing to risk getting hit to land a bomb, you can hit him hard, and consistently, as Marquez did. The difference is, Marquez has never really had one punch KO power, he tends to finish opponents with technical combinations, loading up on uppercuts especially for a bit of extra power. Mosley is a different kettle of fish entirely. We saw what happened when he managed to catch Mayweather flush-ish, and Pac is much more susceptible to punches like that. If Mosley can intercept him as he begins a flurry, he will definitely wobble Pac, and possibly KD/KO him. Richardson, with all his experience, must be wise to this, and will surely have Mosley well prepared in light of it. Team Mosley were even watching the second Marquez fight on one of the episodes of Fightcamp 360, and Richardson observed that Marquez's desire to be a little too aggressive and chase Manny after landing on him left him out of position and open to quick counters from Manny, resulting in eye-catching flash-KDs that in all probability lost the fight for Marquez on the judges scorecards, despite what many feel was a more accomplished boxing performance from the mexican. In any case I think the fight is definitely interesting and I can't wait to see it, though it will be one of those where I may have to watch from behind my hands because a part of me feels the fight is largely an unfair contest and that after a certain point it will just turn into an embarrassing beating for Mosley. I hope that Mosley proves everyone wrong and either finishes Manny off in the first half of the fight or counters Manny all night and fights until the final bell, thereby maintaining his pride. I wouldn't even mind at all tbh if Manny won a decision at the end of it, I just want to see it be competitive, not completely one-sided.
Idk, I think you underestimate the pride of a future hall of famer, but it's just a personal opinion. Someone else recently posted something about Mosley appearing irritated in an interview and whether he's old or not, I'm sure he would feel as if he had lost a bit of pride if he ends up taking a beating the way ODLH did, although I really don't see that happening - though it may be a one-sided UD in the end.Originally Posted by GAME
