I honestly thought to myself that Manny may have carried Shane. It didn't look like he was going after him - he didn't seem to be interested in the KO. It just looked like a glorified sparring session.

AN UNBELIEVABLY HORRIBLE PERFORMANCE BY MOSELY.
i was pissed after seeing mayweather vs mosely, but now im furious.
how can mosely let this go down without even trying
he didnt throw nothing!!!!
with his amazing record/rep, i figured he would at least go down with guns blazing, WTF was that all defensive bullshit? that hideous chickenshit performance will haunt him forever....
ill never watch him fight again....
i was once a mosely fan, now im utterly disgusted in him....
what a way to go out...spineless!!!!
Well that's just sad. Mosley has always been one of the best warriors in boxing, no quit in him. If he couldn't do anything it's a testament to Manny's speed and power and the fact that sadly Shane is not the force he was.
He tried his best, realised he couldnt win and chose to go the distance rather than get knocked out for your viewing pleasure.
But Mosley is a legend of the sport and a very proud man. If he could have won that fight he would have.
no, shane did not try at all. theres a big difference in actually trying and not doing anything at all. no, shane did not try at all at this, or the gayweather fight.
manny wasn't that great saturday and woulda got clocked if he had someone with courage in there. mosely was one of my favorites, thats why im shocked to see him not even try.
He tried his best? What fight were you watching? I was starting to wonder if he broke his right hand in the middle rounds, he stepped back to draw Pac into his power shot and didn't pull the trigger, either A. he hurt his hand or B. he was worried about the counter. either way he definitely didn't try his best. He stalled with the high fives which were completely unwarranted to simply survive.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
No, Mosley definitely didn't try his best. You don't throw your best punch only seven times in the fight. You don't reduce your typical output by more than half. He threw 700 plus punches against Cotto and showed energy even in losing. Here there was no output, no energy....zilch. It was a sad way to go out.
