personally, marquez donest stand a chance, and mick easy to say in hindsight, think back a little, did u pick shane to beat margarito? or did u think he was over the hill? i still say if shane let his hands go it would have been a fight for atlas a few rounds, his problem wasn't physical, it was mental, he can take manny out, as well as manny can take him out, he just saw manny as a god, and didn't have the heart to pull the trigger

To be honest I don't remember if I picked sides on that fight.

Hindsight? I saw SSM decline since he fought 2 good rounds vs. PBF after that I knew he was done. This happens often boxers hands and or feet just dont respond and move like they used to.

The PBF fight, your gonna hold that against me? Come on he rocked the greatest fighter of all times, but he just couldn't hang with the skills of Mayweather. Yes, the Mayorga fight should have told me something but Mayorga had just beat Vargas(another past it fighter) so he had some momentum.

I'll gladly fasten my seatbelt and take my place on the short bus for this one. Shit I thought it would be a solid scrap annnnnnnnd picked Shiner-Shane to pull the upset. Holy hell someone better follow me around the rest of the day and let me know when my own boot falls outta my ass. Hindsight I wish and thought Pac had a platter to make a huge statement by going for stoppage but he equally showed he could temper a flow and shift, boos had to be hell though. Never thought I'd hear that. Shane fought like he was trying to preserve something that no longer exists. He could have went out grabbed last oppurtunity by the throat but looked just content to stand on stage. Wise, durable but really at end, he was there to get got. Time to roll out Shane. It was a horrible fight all along. I hated it, but had to support the underdog. It doesn't mean that I ever really thought he had a chance though. In fact Mosley's performance simply magnified how much he has slipped and how Manny struggles with anyone that attempts to use a little movement and to the side on him. Marquez would pounce on those oppenings and would throw in combination. Mosley threw 7 right hands all night.

It is quite obvious that Marquez would be a worthier opponent. And yes at 140. Pac takes off a couple of pounds and Marquez moves up an entire division. There is no good reason why Manny cannot make that one sacrifice.

It makes perfect sense. One man goes up and the other comes down, then the grudge match is on. It is daft to expect Manny to boil down to a weight he might not now be able to perform at and it is equally daft to ask Marquez to jump two divisions again in his mid to late 30's.

If Pac wants to fight Martinez then go for it. I've been reading that Martinez might well come back to 154 because of the lack of big fights at MW. Equal fight as well. One goes up and the other comes down.
