There's no way Froch does that. I think he will fight for 12 rounds, and won't give up if he starts to have no success.

I think he loses a decision but he will make Ward work for it.

It would be epic if Froch could pull the upset though.

His fight with Johnson is a tragic waste imo. Johnson wasnt even in the Super Six why the fuck are we risking a derailing to the great Froch Ward final by having this pointless but risky fight?
It just shows how pointless the whole Super Six was. Only three of the original six made it to the semi-finals. Johnson, a man that's fought once at 168 in 10 years, is two fights from being crowned the champion.

But what is even more ridiculous is - whilst the Super Six fighters have been beating each other into retirement, Lucian Bute, a guy that has been able to avoid all the best fighters, is currently ranked no.2 at the weight and at one time occupied the 1 spot.

Clearly.. fighting the best doesn't pay. Fact.

Lesson learned from this is that a double elimination tournament doesn't work in professional boxing. It was a good try, but it took too long. I think it did some good though. I had no real idea who Ward and Dirrell were before the tournament began and now I do in a major way. It has improved Froch's position too. I agree it is funny that Bute v. Kessler will be as big a fight at 168 as Ward v. Froch and it isn't in the tournament.

Agreed, but I still think the SS tourney was a success, it gave the fighters at 168 lots of exposure (for better or worse) and we did get to see some decent scraps because of it. In re: Bute, he'll eventually have to face Froch, Ward or Johnson, there isn't much other alternative for him, then we'll get to see what he's really made of, who knows, he could end up being the man at Super-Middleweight.
