I'm looking forward to it. Thought Hopkins deserved the nod last time, hopefully he can put in a similar performance again and get the win. His bodywork in the last fight was impressive, I can see him trying something similar to wear Pascal down

I thought Hopkins deserved the win last time, but I thought there were some worrying signs. It looks like his punch-resistance may be going and I think that's what makes the rematch so compelling. My guess would be that Pascal either stops him early or it goes to a close, disputed decision once again.

He wasn't over by much and he seemed to drop it fairly easily, so I don't think it'll be a big deal. Then again, at his age I could see it potentially being a problem if the fight is fast-paced.

Maybe his age is finally catching up to him.

I think it was only 4 ozs? He could pop his dentures out and easily make weight.

Thumbs up Re: Hopkins vs Pascal II

Looks like this will be the fight thread:

    May 21
At Montreal (HBO): Jean Pascal vs. Bernard Hopkins, rematch, 12 rounds, for Pascal's Ring/WBC light heavyweight title
; Chad Dawson vs. Adrian Diaconu, 12 rounds, light heavyweights.

The card starts tonight (Dawson vs. Diaconu) at 10:00 PM EST or about 3 hours from now, here in North America on HBO (not a PPV) If any of you kats need a stream, PM me and i'll do my best.

    Lets rock and roll!

To be fair to B-Hop the first knockdown was a rabbit punch. He got hit in the back of the head, right in front of the ref too...I'm curious to see if B-Hop comes after Pascal like he said he was going to or plays counter puncher as usual. He may pull a fake plan out, coming out hard then laying back and waiting for Pascals lunges like last time. He should just wait for Pascal because he is pretty predictable with his offensive outbursts. I would like to see B-Hop press when he takes his breaks though.

Also this being a rematch I think really favors B-Hop. He's the type of fighter that can learn something about you and capitalize on it in a rematch. Pascal just seems to have the same gameplan, go offensive when he feels like it then kind of retreat and regroup.

Alot to be answered by Dawson. Class wise he trumps Diaconu but, I can see him physically having his hands very full?? Will have to beat him off and keep respect

Isnt Dawson now with Steward? I don't know what Steward could add to his arsenal, but I like that he might have some new tricks in the book. I think Dawson is going to eat Diaconu for a light snack. Diaconu does have a punchers chance, but he is in for a rough night if he doesnt land a big shot early, or make Dawson wary of his power. Haha yeah that didnt sound right.

I give him the proverbial bull rushes chances yeh, short inside shots but he's a empty canvas for a guy with Dawson's natural skills to stick and move all night on. ALOT I believe is in Chads head, Steward has cleaned out the rubbish hopefully

Dawson needed to work on controlling distance, he smothered his offense by leaning in too much. If he can keep Diaconou (sp?) On the end of his punches he may have more power than we expected.

Dan Rafael says he talked with Manny and that judging by Manny's attitude Dan didn't think they had a good camp...it'll be interesting to see.
