However, just to touch up on some of the comments...
i have a thing for spina? whos the one that makes a post every other day about manfredo? being one of the best even tho he has lost 3 of his last 4 fights? listen, im not just a Manfredo fan like some
im a boxing fan. and yea, that would be a great fight, one is brawler, ones turning into a skilled boxer. Both went out and seeked better world class trainers. I hope well for both of em
comming from NE, i always like to see the locals succeed.

Manfredo has to remember 1 thing when trying to make this fight happen. He isnt a champ, he hasnt fought anyone spectacular, so him and spina are in the same boat. The fight would happen in New England, and would sell out fast, not just because manfredo was on the contender. i dont see joey taking the fight for a 70-30 purse... and i dont blame him either.
Valid points... Manfredo needs to become more active. I know he's training but where the hell did he go? I have an articale on my desk saying he was supposed to fight in July? Its not helping his stock that he's been away so long... Not away meaning not in the ring but meaning no opposition schedualed... Nothing for fans like u and me to look forward 2. Spina, as I read cuz I didnt see the Pina fight is going more to the body. Smart, seeing that one punch buckled Brinkley in the 11th after his corner had been screeming for it all night long. Being as big a SMW as he is he SHOULD be throwing to the body and muscling his foes around the ring. I think a Manfredo fight would look much like the brinkley fight except Manfredo is faster. The gameplan Brinkley had was good until he started getting cocky and let Joey in. Manfredo is much more diciplined especially with Roach. Nomatter whether I like Spina or not he deserves his due. He holds 2 small belts Manfredo has none but he can take them. I cant say its an easy one to call with Spinas power but I see manfredo going to a UD. Manfredo has never been down or stopped in his Pro Career....
