Default **THE FIGHT THAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN** Manfredo Jr. and "The KO Kid"

The fight that needs to happen after his win this weekend over Jay Pina is Joey"the KO Kid" Spina(19-0-1/15 KOs) vs. Peter Manfredo Jr. (25-3-0/11KOs)

this tap dancing has gone on long enough... Take the fight Joey... You guys are both from RI and are both up and coming SMW... The two of u should stop KOing old men (pemberton, pina) and MAKE the fight that would make "cents" for both of u... Spina is ranked higher by some governing bodies(13TH by BoxRec... Manfredo is 26th) and manfredo would bring a huge payday and im sure a great fight card through CES who promotes the 2 of them.............

come on boys... give us the fight that new england wants to see...

here is the fight in writing

I DONT KNOW... YOU HAVE A BRAWLER AND A BOXER... HOW COULD THIS BE A BORING FIGHT.... R U TELLING ME U WOULDNT WANT TO SEE EITHER MANFREDO KO'D BY THIS JUGGERNAUT OR THIS STREET FIGHTER OUTBOXED AND HANDED HIS FIRST LOSS IN PROBABLY THE MOST COMPETATIVE FIGHT OF MANFREDO'S CAREER...C'MON

Manfredo-Spina would be a good match up but I'm not crying for it just yet.

There is something to be said about matchups between young guns...they have the most to prove and when they go right and live up to the hype they are usually the most exciting.

Other Young Star match ups that could be made are as follows

    Eddie Chambers- Mike Marrone
    Chazz Witherspoon-Malik Scott
    Bobby Pacquiao-Rocky Juarez
    John Duddy-Amin Asikainen
    Kelly Pavlik-Sebastian Sylvester

Spina has a lot to prove due to his lack luster opposition... I guess you cant say alot for Manfredo Jr.'s either... Spina does hold 2 belts as insignifigant as they may be... Styles make fights and this would be a great one... These guys grew up together but living in the same area as the two of them I've heard the shat talking starting.... Spina wants to KO Manfredo and Manfredo wants to embarass Spina for local braging rights

    im right here...
like him or dont..its your choice..just dont flip flop like the bandwagoner you are..
Pride gimmie those sadclicks please..because at the end of the day your still you and im still me
so i win that fight... lmao
However, just to touch up on some of the comments...
i have a thing for spina? whos the one that makes a post every other day about manfredo? being one of the best even tho he has lost 3 of his last 4 fights? listen, im not just a Manfredo fan like some
im a boxing fan. and yea, that would be a great fight, one is brawler, ones turning into a skilled boxer. Both went out and seeked better world class trainers. I hope well for both of em
comming from NE, i always like to see the locals succeed.

Manfredo has to remember 1 thing when trying to make this fight happen. He isnt a champ, he hasnt fought anyone spectacular, so him and spina are in the same boat. The fight would happen in New England, and would sell out fast, not just because manfredo was on the contender. i dont see joey taking the fight for a 70-30 purse... and i dont blame him either.

Valid points... Manfredo needs to become more active. I know he's training but where the hell did he go? I have an articale on my desk saying he was supposed to fight in July? Its not helping his stock that he's been away so long... Not away meaning not in the ring but meaning no opposition schedualed... Nothing for fans like u and me to look forward 2. Spina, as I read cuz I didnt see the Pina fight is going more to the body. Smart, seeing that one punch buckled Brinkley in the 11th after his corner had been screeming for it all night long. Being as big a SMW as he is he SHOULD be throwing to the body and muscling his foes around the ring. I think a Manfredo fight would look much like the brinkley fight except Manfredo is faster. The gameplan Brinkley had was good until he started getting cocky and let Joey in. Manfredo is much more diciplined especially with Roach. Nomatter whether I like Spina or not he deserves his due. He holds 2 small belts Manfredo has none but he can take them. I cant say its an easy one to call with Spinas power but I see manfredo going to a UD. Manfredo has never been down or stopped in his Pro Career....
