He looked little winded backing to ropes that round
Alvarez is fighting like a 20 year veteran. He's really impressing me. He's fighting a very technically smart fight, choosing his punches wisely, although occasional tries to reach with a wide hook. He throughs smart combinations and immediately prepares for the counters. Young fighters rarily fight with such pose and patience. However, on the other hand, Rhodes is fighting a terrible fight and isnt doing anything of significance. But anything can happen in 6th rounds, but as of right now im very impressed with the maturity of this fighter.
Fuck this, I'm gonna go make a sandwich.
Rhodes using fake aggression pressing forward not throwing hoping Saul dosent punch him lol
Would have loved to see Kirkland from 09 in there and see how Alvarez handles unrelenting pressure and power.. That went down the toilet when he got ko'd in the 1st round by a grocery bagger
Ok time to step up, no more of this weak competition.. This better not be Golden Boys JCCjr.. This kid has the potential to wipe out anyone from 147-154 including PAC and Mayweather..
I dont know if id go that far, i mean mayweather and pac are completely different fighters then either of those two. This kid def shows great potential but let him get some quality wins under his belt before he even thinks of fighting those two. Remember what happened to Vargas when he was moved up to fight Vargas before he was ready?

Not seen Rhodes before and not bothered if I don't see him again, Matty Hatton landed more shots on Alarez than Rhodes just didn't have near enough power.
Alvarez is definitely one to watch but I don't think he's ready for Pac or Floyd yet, I'll reserve judgement until I see how he takes shots from another heavy hitter.
Despite losing every round and being knocked down, Rhodes hasn't looked all that hurt so far, this looks like it will go the distance, since Rhodes appears to have a good chin.
Rhodes is not much better than a sparring partner in this fight, he's game, but just over-matched.
