Your jab. You needed to throw it more in that fight! That kid was throwing wild hooks all you had to do was push a jab in his face and move and you would have won. He was reckless you could have just taken him apart with the jab. In boxing its your best weapon and if your always throwing it out there then you have a good shot at winning. You seemed to lean back abit when throwing shots ond when you being hit is it because you don't like taking a shot? I mean its the enevitable you have to get used to it. Try to keep up right or slightly foward with your chin tucked down. Wish i new how to get my fights on here! I just threw shots and went to war! Good job mate and keep training! What your record?

1-2 mate! I agree had to use my jab more definately! And very true I do not like taking a shot who does? but I have to get used to it, well, be more comfortable having shots thrown at me and learn to move my head and get out of the way where as at the moment I just lean back and panic. I think when he put me down in the first I really felt it and I was definately more wary of him then. Looking back at the fight (dunno if u see it the same way) but I look comfortable up until that knock down. Thanks for the advice mate, it's all a learning curve for us isn't it! What have you got your fights on, disc or are they on your PC?

Got them on disc mate. Don't worry about the record! 'Records are for dj's' is what i go by i just love to have a scrap. I know not many people like being hit (i find it makes me want to hit the person back twice as hard) but you have to get used to it and just keep your hands up to soften the blow. I remember my first fight i got dominated! Black eye, bloody nose all sorts of pain but i just kept coming foward. You have to be the one controlling the pace. Staying in the middle and owning that place and if you keep throwing out the jab they cant push you back. You were calm at the start but your right after the knockdown you were to worried about getting caught again. You justy need to put it behind you and not worry about him but think about what your doing.
